Concept and Implementation Process
• Intrapreneur is a manager who focuses on innovation and creativity,
who brainstorms, dreams and puts ideas into profitable venture by
operating within the organizational Environment.
• Intrapreneurship is defined as entrepreneurship within an existing
business set-up. Eg. SBU Head, Product Head etc. It is also called
corporate entrepreneurship.
• It is a tool for capitalising the entrepreneurial spirit of employees in the
organisation. It gives managers the freedom to try new ideas by
employing firm’s resources in a unique way.

Entrepreneurs Intrapreneurs
They work inside as well as outside the
enterprise.
They are bound to perform within the
enterprise.
They generate ideas. They adopt the idea generated.
They employ intrapreneurs and pays
them in exchange of their services.
They are paid for using their creative
thinking.
They work overtime to run his/her own
business.
They work overtime helping to run
someone’s else business.
The rewards of entrepreneurs depend
on the success and profit margins of
the enterprise.
An intrapreneur is a person employed
by an organization whose
compensation is fixed.

Eg. SBU Head, Product Head etc. It is also called corporate entrepreneurship. • It is a tool for capitalising the entrepreneurial spirit of employees in the organisation. They generate ideas. They adopt the idea generated. They employ intrapreneurs and pays them in exchange of their services. They are paid for using their creative thinking. They work overtime to run his/her own business. They work overtime helping to run someone’s else business. The rewards of entrepreneurs depend on the success and profit margins of the enterprise.
