Most likely you are experiencing issues created by the limitations of your current HMI or the lack of a machine level HMI.
- InTouch Machine Edition is a Wonderware product which is based on the leading technologies for embedded devices. It is part of Wonderware’s overall software portfolio. InTouch Machine Edition has the features that enables it to be sold as operator-panel software to End Users and OEMs (system builders and machine builders). InTouch Machine Edition up 3,000 Windows Embedded Compact Windows Embedded Standard. InTouch Machine Edition has out of the box features for integration with the Wonderware suite of products.
- OEMs (Machine Builders and System Builders): Creates a repeatable business relationship with significant revenue over many years. Sell by itself or together with Intelligence software for remote monitoring and machine health analytics. Sell together with System Platform to System Builders that deliver production lines and turn key systems. End Customers: There is a significant market for new panels and panel refurbishment (lifetime of panel is significantly shorter than lifetime of the machine) Sell by itself or together with System Platform to tie machines together for production line and plant operations. Sell together with Intelligence software for monitoring applications. This market is also served by System Integrators.
- InTouch Panel PC: Compact is powered by an ARM-based Cortex 8 CPU and have 512 MB of RAM and have 1 GB of onboard storage. This low-end device is running InTouch Compact Edition powered on Windows CE 7.0. InTouch Panel PC: Standard is powered by a Dual-Core ATOM (or like processor) and will have 4 GB. It will be available with Windows Embedded Standard 7 (WES7). InTouch Panel PC: Premium is powered by an Intel i7 processor and will have 8 GB of RAM. It will be available with Windows Embedded Standard 7 (WES7).. All devices will have no moving parts. No fans and no rotating media drives. The Compact devices will run off of internal flash memory and the Standard and Premium devices will have (field-removable) Intel SSDs.
- InTouch Machine Edition is natively integrated with Wonderware Historian so that data can be securely and reliably saved and retrieved. This includes store-and-forward capabilities that will save the information locally if the connection to the historian is lost, and forward it to the historian when the connection is re-established. Live data can be communicated to Wonderware System Platform, InTouch Standard and InBatch. Data can be used in scripts, alarms, history, recipes, graphics, etc. This enables you to monitor machine status and performance information such as OMAC PackML data and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- InTouch Machine Edition is natively integrated with Wonderware Historian so that data can be securely and reliably saved and retrieved. The data can be delivered to a centralized historian over a private WAN connection. Low speed lines (256Kbit or above) and high latency are supported so that data can be sent over satellite links if necessary. This enables data to reliably and securely be sent to Wonderware’s Historian where it can be aggregated, contextualized, retrieved and analyzed. Wonderware is storing the data so that it can be retrieved with standard SQL Server tools such as Excel or Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services.
