Inter n ational cooks   Importants cooks from Spain and Catalonia For this project,I’ve chosen four cooks: two from Catalonia and two from Spain. I’m going to tell you about their best dishes or tapas, and about the restaurants they have. The cooks are the following: -          In Catalonia:   . Ferran Adrià . Santi Santamaria   -          In Spain:   . José Andrés . Darío Barrio
Catalans cook Ferran Adrià: He is a famous Catalan cook considered during several years as the best “chef” in the world. The “Bulli”, situated in Cala Montjoi ( Catalonia) has received very high gastronomics distinctions. He considerate an artist cook, he has introduced new flavours and new techniques, such as foaming and spherification. The restaurant “ El Bulli” was considerate the best restaurant in the world in 2002,2006,2007 and 2008. His best food are “menestra”, which is a plate with vegetables, oyster with carrots and Spanish omelette.
Catalans cook Santi Santamaria: He is a famous Catalan cook, but he is important in the world of gastronomy. Santi Santamaria has a restaurant the “Celler de can Roca” in ( Catalonia). He has written several books for cooks. The press from England says that his cooking style is very similar to Ferran Adrià. He made a cake with the  figures the Jose Luís Rodríguez Zapatero and Maria Teresa Fernández de la Vega. His favourite food is “ Brocoli grated with yoghurt and fish eggs” and also “ chicken with escalonias” ( a type of vegetable).
Spain cook José Andrés: He is a famous a Spain cook, José Andrés with 12 years it was preparing plates for all his family, and with only 16 years it left asturian land to go to Barcelona because he study in the school restaurantion and hotel. In that stage he arranged the studies ruled with the learning in the restaurant “ el bulli” that was directed then by Ferran Adrià. After finishing his professional studies, at 21, decided to leave the United States.   In New York, José Andrès began working at the restaurant El Dorado Petit, who closed for management problems two years later. So Joseph went to the American capital, Washington, where she settled and still lives.  His favourite food is a tapas. The best tapas are Galician octopus, and squid with clam sauce.
Spain cook Dario Barrio: He is a famous Spanish cook. When he was 14 years old he showed his abilities for cooking. He won different types of prizes:   - Metropolis Award to the revelation restaurant.   - Gourmet Initiative Award, given by Amer. - He was first in the VIII Chefs Championship of the  Community of Madrid. - Aura Award for his contribution to gastronomy and “art de vivre”. His favourite food is vegetable soup and “ gazpacho andaluz”, which ( is a typeof soup with ingredients like bread, olive oil, vinegar and raw vegetables)
