My Learnings
1. Microsoft Bot Framework
2. Entity Framework Code First Approach
3. ASP.NET MVC
12
My Learnings (Cont…)
 Microsoft Bot Framework provides powerful tools
and features to help developers writing bots without
facing the following problems:
1. Bots require basic I/O
2. They must have language and dialog skills
3. They must connect to users, preferably in any
conversation experience and language the user
chooses.
The Bot Framework provides powerful tools and
features to help solve these problems.
13
My Learnings (Cont…)
 Microsoft Bot Framework provides the following
services-
1. Azure Bot Service
2. Bot Builder
3. Bot Framework Portal
4. Channels
14
My Learnings (Cont…)
 Azure Bot Services provides an environment for
developing the bot. Bot directly can be modified
in the browser using the Azure editor or in an
Integrated Development Environment (IDE), such
as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
 Bot Builder provides a feature that make
interaction between a bot and a user more
simpler.
15
My Learnings (Cont…)
 Bot Framework Portal gives a convenient place to
register, connect, and manage the bot.
 Channel service provide the developer to connect
their bot in several channel including email,
Facebook, Skype, Slack, and SMS.
Microsoft Bot Framework uses LUIS (Language
Understanding Intelligent Service) for
understanding user input
16
My Learnings (Cont…)
 LIA is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Chatbot with
whom customers can interact/chat on social
media platforms like Facebook, Skype or Website
without any human interaction and extract
information relevant to their business and
personal needs.
17
My Learnings (Cont…)
 Entity Framework Code First approach focuses
on the domain of the application and start
creating classes for the domain entity rather than
designing database first and then create the
classes which match the database design.
 I implemented a user management module using
entity framework code first approach.
18
What I did so far
LINDA
(LankaBangla Interactive Direct Assistant)
 LINDA provides services to the customer in
account opening, balance, IPO status, profile,
service, FAQ.
 My contribution in this project are retrieving user
message and stored in a file, fetching the intent
of user input and retrieving appropriate reply.
