which is a flagship initiative of the Sparks Foundation.

internship opportunities to students who are interested in
gaining practical experience in various fields of
technology, including artificial intelligence, machine
learning, data science, and computer vision.
4. About the Internship & Project
• I was hired as a web development intern at Sparks Foundation GRIP programme, India
during May-June 2023. It was an online internship.
• The Sparks Foundation's GRIP program is highly competitive, and interns are selected
based on their academic achievements, technical skills, and passion for technology and
science.
• In the two-month duration I was required to complete the project which had four parts,
two were related to tech and would be working on WebD and one was a non tech task
dealing with promotion of Sparks Foundation on various platforms.
5. About the Internship & Project (Cont.)
• The first task was to create a LinkedIn account and improve our profile on it and
connecting with new people while learning about the way it works.
• The two tech tasks were related to creating websites using Mern stack one which was
related to basic banking system and other was Payment Gateway Integration.
• The non tech task was to make a power point presentation on Marketing Plan for the
Sparks Foundation.
6. Roadmap to Project (Week-1)
• This week was the orientation week, where we had gone through the orientation
and later part of the week was spent on getting to know my manager.
• Moreover, in this week we had to complete a beginner course which was related to
key concepts and technologies used in the project which was assigned to all interns
in the field of web-development.
• I also got to know about the project, some basic guidelines and deadlines to
complete the project.
7. Roadmap to Project (Week-2)
• In this week I was required to
complete my LinkedIn Id
improvement which is basically the
first task to be done.
• The aim of the task was to create a
strong background for job search and
it included connecting to teachers and
alumni from the college and school
and connecting to HR of different
companies.
8. Roadmap to Project (Week-3)
• This week was spent on creating
the basic banking system as a
simple dynamic website, which
was the first tech task to be
completed.
• In this week most of my time was
spent on writing the backend code
and connecting it with the
database and then testing my code
on Postman tool.
9. Roadmap to Project (Week-4)
• This week was spent on the writing
the frontend code for the basic
banking system website and
connecting it with the backend part
on different ports.
• Later part of the week was spent on
uploading my code to GitHub and
deploying the website and making
some minor corrections based on the
feedback from my manager.
10. Roadmap to Project (Week-5)
• This week was spent on understanding
the second tech task ,i.e., Payment
Gateway Integration.
• The frontend part of the system was
also finished in this week and some key
concepts about the Payment Gateway
Integration was also learnt.
• Since this required the use of third
party apps I settled with RazorPay API
for my task.
11. Roadmap to Project (Week-6)
• This week I had to deal with
integration of Razorpay API into
my web app which required
testing the app on Postman tool.
• Moreover when integrated with
frontend and database the code
was producing some errors due to
third party integration which I had
to remove during this week
only.(Time constraints)
12. Roadmap to Project (Week-7)
• This week was focused on completing
the last task of the project.
• Here we were required to create a
marketing plan for the Sparks foundation
in the form of power point presentation.
• This work was required to be published
on websites like medium and slideshare.
13. Roadmap to Project (Week-8)
• The last week was spent mainly on the presentation of my internship work to my
colleagues and to senior members in an online mode.
• This week was also spent on documenting my entire work to MS WORD so that anyone
having basic knowledge about the work-on technology would be able to get my project
and if required would be able to extend it in near future.
• I spent the last day meeting virtually my manager and getting his LinkedIn IDs so that
even after completion of my internship I would be able to connect with him.
