The Scope of Newspaper as a Futuristic Medium for PublicityDr. Amarjeet Singh
The news paper as a medium for publicity and
Advertisements is losing its luster and relevance in America
and some western countries. But the same medium has shown
remarkable growth in India. Circulation increased by more
than 23 million copies a day between 2006 and 2016,
according to a new report from India's Audit Bureau of
Circulation. That's average growth of nearly 5% per year.
Meanwhile, circulation came down in major Western
countries including the U.S. (-3%), France (-6%), Germany (-
9%) and the U.K. (-12%). Despite the strong growth of digital
media in India, the traditional formats of television and print
still account for the largest portion of total media ad
expenditure. India remains somewhat unusual in that print
revenues continue to grow, with newspapers specifically still
serving as an effective way for advertisers to reach a
significant audience. The research reports point out that
newspaper growth was really coming from papers published
in Hindi and in other local languages and dialects—generally
referred to collectively as “vernacular” papers. English is
used in India’s largest cities, leaving readers in smaller cities
and rural areas with an appetite for content in their local
languages. The scope of the present research paper is to
identify reasons for this and futuristic scope for news paper
as a medium for publicity.

Fake news detection for Arabic headlines-articles news data using deep learningIJECEIAES
Fake news has become increasingly prevalent in recent years. The evolution of social websites has spurred the expansion of fake news causing it to a mixture with truthful information. English fake news detection had the largest share of studies, unlike Arabic fake news detection, which is still very limited. Fake news phenomenon has changed people and social perspectives through revolts in several Arab countries. False news results in the distortion of reality ignite chaos and stir public judgments. This paper provides an Arabic fake news detection approach using different deep learning models including long short-term memory and convolutional neural network based on article-headline pairs to differentiate if a news headline is in fact related or unrelated to the parallel news article. In this paper, a dataset created about the war in Syria and related to the Middle East political issues is utilized. The whole data comprises 422 claims and 3,042 articles. The models yield promising results.
Opportunities and Dangers for the Traditional Mass Media in the Digital Age A...ijtsrd
Mass Media is an integral part of contemporary society. Traditional broadcast media such as Radio, Television, and Newspapers have emerged in the pre internet era. They are serving as the prime sources of news and entertainment for a long time. Conversely, the Digital Age is creating alternative sources by promoting internet based Digital Media or New Media, such as social media, online newspapers, websites, and the like. New Media is becoming more popular day by day and creating a threat to Traditional Mass Media. The internet is surpassing newspapers in popularity as a news platform. In many developed countries, the circulation of newspapers is decreasing even some prominent newspapers are discontinuing their printed editions. Traditional radio and television are also suffering losses due to Digital Media. However, the Digital Age is not only a danger for Traditional Mass Media but also an opportunity for them. Many newspapers have embraced digital transformation to reach worldwide and attract more readers than before. A similar evolution is also happening for traditional radio and television. Indeed, New Media is a reality of the Digital Age it indicates that the future of Mass Media is digital. Three key points for news and media in 2018
1) Distributed discovery increasingly important, and social and search expose people to more sources of news, but brand recognition is low
2) Confidence in both social media and news media is low and people’s sense of what constitutes “fake news” is not what you think it is
3) The role of platforms is evolving as social media remains critical fr news but we see a shift to more ‘private’ messaging apps (is voice next?)

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Internet Usage and Importance Expand
JULY 2, 2007
The Internet leads a rise in most media usage.
The Internet is the most essential medium for consumers and newspapers are the least,
according to an Edison Media Research study conducted by Arbitron in January and
February 2007. Respondents were all from the US and ages 12 and older.
Over a third of consumers deemed newspapers "least essential," while nearly a quarter
felt that way about the Internet. Both radio and television had the fewest "least essential"
mentions, at 18%.
Larry Rosin of Edison Media Research said, "It is not a stretch to say that the Internet
has become just as important as television as an important source of information and
entertainment in the lives of Americans."
Over a third of respondents said they were using the Internet and television more than in
2002. Radio was the only medium to take a major hit, with an equal percentage of
respondents saying they used it more and less.

consumers increased their total media time by 5%, from 3,333 hours per year in 2000 to
3,499 in 2006. Veronis Suhler estimated that media usage will rise to 3,518 hours in
2007.
