Sport Tourism
• Sport tourism resides at the intersection of sport
and tourism industries and is dynamic and filled
with intrigue, challenges, and opportunities for
research and business practice.
• Sport tourism defined is as leisure-based tourism
that takes people temporarily outside their home
environment to participate or watch physical
activities, or enjoy attractions associated with
physical activity.
• Or simply, “travel to a destination to experience
sport.”

• In addition to the 500,000 entries in the
Rock n Roll Marathon Series we also
welcomed some 664,886 visitors to our
Health and Fitness Expo’s in 2010. The
average age of our competitor is 38 with
62% of competitors female. We have
grown our US based events to 23 markets
and have now added Edinburgh and
Madrid to our portfolio as we expand into
Europe and beyond.

• The Ambassador's Rock Star mission is to
promote their assigned Rock 'n' Roll Event in the
