The document discusses H-Links, which are forged or fabricated connectors used in deep-water mooring systems. H-Links allow for connections between mooring components like chains and polyester while accommodating corrosion over the systems' long lifespans of 27+ years. The first H-Links were used on the Ocean Confidence project. H-Links are made from grade R4 material and can connect different component types like polyester-to-polyester or chain-to-chain. Various projects in the Gulf of Mexico utilizing H-Links are listed. A new product, the Inter-M Swivel, is introduced which uses H-Link technology to provide a swivel connection for rotational freedom.

Discover new optimized solutions to change the way you work with wire rope! This hands-on presentation will examine the types of wire rope and how each interacts with sheaves and crane blocks. Mr. Eertman will introduce you to wire rope behavior causing cabling or block rotation. He will also discuss the latest advancements and studies on sheave - wire rope interaction that supports Feyrer’s formula to improve longevity and performance.
Speaker: Joost Eertman, Technical Director, Ropeblock B.V.
Reel Power ME's Electric and Fiber Optic Reel allows the operator to reel out/in Multiplex Electro-Hydraulic (MUX) and Fiber Optic umbilical from the same reel. This reel has an electric swivel on one end of the axle and a fiber optic swivel on the other end. They can be operated locally and/or from a remote control panel (whichever the customer requests). Explore our range of electric and Fiber Optic Reel Manufacturers, designed for ultimate power and precision.
Fiber optic connectors have been around for many years, nearly since the creation of optical fiber itself. A key component of optical fiber is its ability to transmit light signals over long distances without attenuation, in other words without light lost along the optical path. There are many types of connectors to choose from as well as methods to connectorize fiber cables.
Buy BOP CONTROL REEL to deploy and retrieve cables. Use of Hoses to control the signal to the subsea BOP. This can be used in mid-level water and deep level as well.
Key considerations when switching to miniature connectorsDesign World
Join us for this panel webinar, in which industry experts will provide insight on selecting, specifying and using miniature connectors safely and reliably in your system designs. Our panelists include David Ptacek, national sales manager and US product manager for Fischer Connectors’ MiniMax series; Steven Lassen, Products and Applications Manager, LEMO USA; Mike Higashikawa, Regional Product Manager, Micro Products Division for Molex Incorporated; and Brendan Dempsey, Business Development Manager at ODU-USA.
Our panel will discuss some of the challenges and misconceptions associated with miniature connectors, covering everything from EMI/EMC to robustness and mating reliability to common applications.
The companies of Altra Industrial Motion offer many critical drivetrain products utilized in marine applications including clutches & brakes, couplings, universal joints, linear actuators and turning, locking and braking systems

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

3. H-LINKS HISTORY
• Initial concept: Deep-water connector for the Gulf of Mexico spars and semi-
submersibles.
• Huge mooring systems require life spans of 27 years (plus) in a permanent position
• Connector design needed to allow for excessive corrosion (0.4mm per year over 27
years equates to 10.8mm of steel being lost in service).
• The first H-Links used in such a capacity were for the Ocean Confidence in the GoM
on the InterMoor SEPLAs and Balltec connectors.
3
4. H-LINK
• The H-Link is forged and/or fabricated from Grade R4 material
• Fully compatible with the chain links that are in the mooring system
• Certifiable by LRS, DNV and/or ABS (depending on the mooring system requirements)
• Strength calculations and FEA are undertaken to ascertain the life expectancy of the
units.
• H-Link is taken to loads approximately 10% above the MBL (minimum breaking load)
of the chain.
