by Christopher Columbus.
• In 1532 the Mr. Francisco
Pizarro took Atahualpa
prisoner.
• From this meeting, or the
American Continent Abya Yala,
is not the same.
• It had a different evolution.
3. • Since 1825, in the
Republic of Bolivia has
always had discrimination
against women and
indigenous people.
• Women didn’t have
constitutional rights
• Indigenous people
weren´t recognized by
the state.

High Peru and in 1825 the Republic
of Bolivar was founded which later
changed its name to Bolivia.
• In 1825 the republic of Bolivia with 9
departments was created and
adopted Spanish as the official
language.

• Bolivia was a state that wanted to hide their
indigenous people and did not recognize them.

and the Convention on the
Protection and Promotion of
the Diversity Cultural

• And the Universal
Declaration of the Rights of
Indigenous Peoples of the
UN September 13, 2007.
9. • In 2009, the Plurinational State of Bolivia, with
nine departments was created. This
constitution recognizes 36 official languages.
