The document summarizes an LED lamp demonstration project at the InterContinental San Francisco hotel. LED MR16, PAR30, and AR-111 lamps were tested as replacements for halogen lamps in signage, artwork, and task lighting applications. Through hands-on testing and full-scale mockups, suitable LED lamps were identified that provided acceptable light quality and color rendition while meeting the hotel's standards. The LED lamps were installed in a registration desk area as a demonstration and were found to satisfy requirements with a payback period of less than 2 years through energy savings. Some challenges were encountered with product performance claims and compatibility with dimming systems. Feedback was positive from hotel staff after the installation.
