Personalized Badge Holders and Other Fun Projects for Kidsboojeebeads
You don’t need a lot of expensive toys to keep your kids happy and playing during rainy days and long summers. Whether they make their own ID cards and badge holders or create their very own board game, they’ll have fun.
Children spend quite a bit of time in their bedroom either playing, napping or hanging out with us. These rooms become the epicentre of their worlds, so it’s only natural that you should put a lot of thought and consideration into your toddler’s room decor. You want the space to be a reflection of their growing personalities but also be safe, comfortable and stylish.

Study: The Future of VR, AR and Self-Driving CarsLinkedIn
We asked LinkedIn members worldwide about their levels of interest in the latest wave of technology: whether they’re using wearables, and whether they intend to buy self-driving cars and VR headsets as they become available. We asked them too about their attitudes to technology and to the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the devices that they use. The answers were fascinating – and in many cases, surprising.
This SlideShare explores the full results of this study, including detailed market-by-market breakdowns of intention levels for each technology – and how attitudes change with age, location and seniority level. If you’re marketing a tech brand – or planning to use VR and wearables to reach a professional audience – then these are insights you won’t want to miss.

Slide Presentation - Painting by Masako Simmons, Photographic Art by Durand S...MasakoSimmons
The slide presentation includes 5 images of the art of painter Masako Simmons, photographic artists Durand Seay, and sculptor Robin Antar, along with a page containing a short artist statement, headshot and contact information for each artist.
Fine Wall Art deserves to be on Canvas. Unlike cheap posters and paper prints that require additional framing, Giclée DIY canvas artwork offers the texture, look and feel of fine-art paintings.
2. Interacting with Modern Masters 8” x 12” to 10” x 14” (approx.)
A collection of the world’s most famous Modern Masters will be selected for each Cottage. The paintings will be
printed on canvas and stretched on a narrow stretcher bar. Each painting will be hand embellished with very thick
paint on the canvas to resemble an original.
Activity: The guest will have the opportunity to examine the Modern Masters by sight and touch. The guests may
take a blunt- end paintbrush allowing them to “feel” the brush strokes that the artist might have felt while creating the
masterpiece. They may engage in conversation with a staff member or therapist regarding colors, feelings or their
emotions. The conversation might include: What is happening in the painting, what location the painting depicts.
Have you ever been to this place?
This activity may also encourage the use of fine motor skills. The paintings selected will be familiar, calming,
interesting and colorful, utilizing the proven ability of art as a mood enhancer.
Sizes are recommended for table or lap use only, but can also be adapted for wall installation.
Supplies needed: Blunt paint brushes.

3. Acrylic Art Interactive Painting Activity 12 ” x 12” x 3/8” squares
These beautiful digital images printed on acrylic make a unique two-in-one painting and tracing activity. The guest simply
uses paint and a paint brush to follow the image on the clear side. The “painter” will feel like they are painting the image
themselves. Then, he or she can take a piece of paper and press firmly to “lift” your painting from the surface. Also, using
a washable dry erase marker, a guest may trace the objects on the clear side. The guest may choose from twelve different
images printed on 3/8” thick 12”x12” acrylic squares. Clean-up is a breeze!
This activity is designed to increase self-confidence and fine motor skills. It may also be calming and relaxing.
Recommended for guests in wheelchairs or may be used on table tops. Acrylic is many times stronger than glass, making it
much more impact resistant and therefore safer. The edges will be rounded and polished for safe handling. Another great
advantage of acrylic is that it is only half as heavy as glass.
Supplies needed: Paint brushes, washable acrylic paint, small paint brush, washable Expo-markers, paper.

4. Tactile Interactive Art 8 x 11.5 x 3/4” Linden wood
A unique design is carved into Linden wood, creating a beautiful sculpture. The sculpture may hang on the wall
and then be removed to be used by guests.
Activity: A guest may trace the pattern or place paper on the design, and using a crayon make a transference
(rubbing) of the design. Each piece is two-sided, allowing the guest to create two different patterns for each
sculpture. You may combine the patterns to layer the effect. And you may trace the pattern of the carving with
your finger- tips. These hand-made pieces of art are designed to encourage self-expression, relaxation, and
pleasure for people with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease.
Recommended Grouping: Six . Art may be hung using keyhole slots. No additional wires and hanging
mechanisms are attached to the art; leaving nothing to scratch a guest.
Supplies needed: Crayons, colored pencils, paper.

5. Peg-board Interactive Art 8 x 11.5 x 3/4” Linden wood
Subtle carved embellishments form the background of this sculpture hand-carved from Linden wood. Art
may be hung using keyhole slots and then removed when the guest is ready for an activity. Wooden pegs are
used to form one of three geometric designs.
Activity: Yarn or other material (thin gauge wire) can be wrapped around the pegs. Also, you may trace the
pattern of the carving with your finger- tips.
This activity is designed to expose individuals with memory or cognitive impairments to the benefits of art.
Recommended Grouping: Three
Supplies needed: Yarn or string.

6. “I Spy” Vintage Treasure Box 20”-24” x 30”-36” (approx.)
Guests search for vintage items from the 1940’s, 50’s 60’s and 70’s displayed in an acrylic frame in our “I Spy”
version of a Vintage Treasure Box. Authentic collectible items will be protected in a shadow box frame mounted on
the wall with security hardware. A list with all of the contents will be provided so that participants can try to find all
the treasures. Searching for items from their youth, guests may enrich their vocabulary and language skills. A pair
of bronzed baby shoes, a 45 album, a slinky toy, Elvis memorabilia, and a vintage toy car are only a few of the items
which might be included (each piece is one-of-a-kind) in this updated version of a “memory box.” Guests can be
urged to locate sports and music-related items, shapes, colors, items that begin with a specific letter and more. The
activities are many as is the potential for eliciting memories of earlier days.
A talented Indiana-based artist, whose work is featured here, has been commissioned to create this extraordinary
treasure.

7. Magnetic Puzzle Board Wall: 24” x 36”/ Table: 12”x14”
This image was chosen based on the vibrancy of its colors and the expressions of Joy. The large puzzle will give the
residents an opportunity for exercise, and a means to redirect anxiety. The individual pieces will be large,
approximately 3” x 5” and fit together in a logical manner to encourage vocabulary. The ensuing sense of
accomplishment in successfully “rebuilding” the art brings renewed joy and self-respect to the guest.
Installation: The Board will be affixed to a wall, low profile, and custom framed to complement the interior of your
facility. The table top size will be presented in a tin container and your facility may select the quantity of 12” x 14”
magnetic boards needed.
Copyright Pending. Made in the USA.
