Organisms interact in various ways for survival, including competition over resources, predation where one organism benefits by harming or killing another, and symbiosis where organisms live together in mutualism benefiting each other, parasitism harming the host, or commensalism benefiting one without affecting the other. Examples of these interactions include carabao and birds in mutualism, lice parasitizing dogs, and trees hosting orchids in commensalism.
