This document discusses integrating Zabbix monitoring with AWS EC2 auto-scaling groups. It describes reactive scaling policies used by AWS EC2 auto-scaling to dynamically add or remove EC2 instances based on monitored metrics and demand. It also discusses how the ec2bix.py script is used to automatically create and manage Zabbix hosts and host groups for EC2 instances in auto-scaling groups to provide monitoring of the scaling infrastructure.
