1. ACTION TO BE TAKEN ON EMERGENCIES
On occurrence of Emergencies like situations by Fire , Earthquake or spillage of Chemicals the
action mentioned in the succeeding paras is required to be taken by all .
Students & Employees
1. As per the instructions of your Hostel IC / Class Teacher / Department Supervisor stop
your work & leave your , Hostel Room / Class Room / Deptt by following Emergency Escape
Route & come out to pre designated Safe Assembly Point .
2. The staff which is trained & pre nominated for assistance in overcoming the emergency
would stay & as per the instructions assist in the disaster management .
3. Do not panic .
Hostel ICs / Managers / Supervisors
1. Blow Fire Alarm & inform all persons responsible for dealing with emergency ( Manager
Security & Safety , Safety Officer , Firemen , Security Officer & Chief Coordinator ) .
2. Switch off Electricity Supply of the effected building .
4. After reaching Safe Assembly Point fall in Hostel / Deptt /Section wise & respective IC to
carryout immediate head counting & compare it with pre prepared attendance sheet to
check for any trapped or missing person left in effected area .
5. Arrange for First Aid of wounded persons .
6. Rescue Operations must immediately commence under the supervision of pre nominated
& trained persons of each building .
