Building a Movement to Divest from Fossil Fuels and Invest in New Energy Solu...EPIPNational
The Divest-Invest commitment is a powerful demonstration of values that shows the world and policymakers that we want real climate solutions now. Divest-Invest moves catalyzes capital away from fossil fuels and towards a clean energy future. It’s an exciting example of the power of an idea whose time has come. Not only have participating funders moved beyond their own specific agendas to engage with a community in a shared collective goal, but they’re also working in solidarity with faith based groups, universities, schools, hospitals, individuals, cities, and civil society in general to achieve it.
Speakers: Jenna Nicholas, CEO of Phoenix Global Impact
and Chris Rurik, next-generation director of The Russell Family Foundation

This presentation was provided by Toby Green of Coherent Digital, during the NISO hot topic virtual conference "Open Research." The event was held on November 17, 2021.
CURRENT - Emily Carr University of Art + Design Research Journal - Issue 2dshack

Open State is a series of events starting in Summer 2013. We will explore, develop and support innovative projects that work on the sustainable future we urgently need. And everything will be open-source. Our goal: prototyping the smallest cell of a sustainable society and creating blueprints for everyone to adopt. www.openstate.cc
This brief deck shares our process in applying user-centered design principles and processes to drive innovation in emerging markets. We engage with users and beneficiaries in their contexts to understand drivers behind behaviors and perceptions, then convert the insights gleaned from such encounters to action plans for products and services.
