Mission
According to the New England Journal of Medicine, in
2009 there were nearly 100,000 adverse drug events
(ADE) in U.S. impacting adults ages 65 years and older.
   Helping Patients Regulate Their INR
Warfarin was the number one medication responsible for
those ADE’s, having caused roughly the same number of
                www.INRTracker.com
hospitalizations as the other top three drugs combined.1

INR Tracker strives to provide patients with the
necessary tools and support to better manage their

Problem
 • Warfarin requires patients to have several tests (INR’s) each month to
monitor the drugs function within the body. This burden on the patient
   can result in:
     – Increased medical costs
     – Reduced quality of life (e.g. lifestyle restrictions and increased bleeding risk)
    Helping Patients Regulate Their INR
     – Patient dissatisfaction (e.g. inconsistent INR’s)
     – Discontinuation of highly-efficacious therapy2
 • Patients taking Warfarin have a difficult time managing the drug due to its
                       www.INRTracker.com
   inherent volatility. Warfarin interacts with:
     – Food
     – Prescription medicines
     – Over-the-counter medicines
     – Exercise
     – Weather

     Helping Patients Regulate Their INR
In 2011 I found out the hard way that I have a genetic blood clotting disorder
called Factor V Leiden. As a patient of Warfarin, I quickly discovered how
difficult of a drug it is to manage. INR Tracker is designed for people like me to
better deal with the treatment process.
