Three IBT students at Republic Polytechnic, supervised by their lecturer Mdm Papineni Satya Praveena, developed a prototype for a commuter-friendly bus stop. Their design focused on improving commuter comfort and making the bus stop easy to assemble, disassemble, relocate and reassemble. Key features included cable supports for the shelter, modular structures, rain shades, perforated seats for drainage, and LED lighting. For their efforts, the student team emerged as the top team from their polytechnic at the LTA-Polytechnic Exhibition and their project was selected for presentation at the CPF Board's Innovation Week exhibition, where they received a Letter of Commendation.
