This document summarizes a workshop organized to discuss challenges and technology roadmaps for advanced manufacturing in harsh environments for energy applications. The workshop brought together companies and policymakers from different European regions to discuss industrial challenges, potential technological solutions, and next steps for public-private partnerships. Through presentations and breakout sessions, companies shared challenges in areas like cost reductions, corrosion, and manufacturing processes, as well as needs in composites, power systems, and monitoring. The conclusions from these discussions will inform a technology roadmap and continued collaboration through a new Industrial Leadership Committee and future events.

The “ADMA Energy“pilot action seeks to make the EU a global leader in manufacturing robust
high integrity components and systems for marine renewables and offshore energy applications.
In particular, the pilot aims to help larger companies strengthen their supply chains by working
with innovative Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and provide smaller companies with new,
high-demand customers to grow their businesses.
Capitalising on the Vanguard Initiative framework1
and the solid public and private commitment on
13 European regions,this workshop aims to set the next steps for the establishment of targeted,
cross-regional Public-Private-Partnerships for the financing of common priority technology areas.
To this end, the workshop will:
• Present industrial challenges faced by companies and potential technological solutions
• Explore novel technology fields to play a major role in tackling industrial challenges
• Allow for a lively debate on the needs of the industry and the policy framework at regional &
EU levels
• Discuss the next steps of the pilot action
