Year 13 provided tips for creating a compelling thriller blog, including researching and discussing different thriller genres to spark new ideas. They also recommended using multimedia platforms like SlideShare, Wordle and Prezi to make blog posts more visually interesting than plain text. Incorporating different media like PowerPoints, drawings and videos would help engage readers. Year 13's advice helped the students make better use of various presentation tools and media to produce a more interesting blog.

Year 13 told us that we need to talk about every
type of thrillers; this is because it enables up to
view all different types of thrillers which could
add to our ideas.
Another tip was that we should research all
thrillers that we enjoy watching, this is because
we would know and enjoy the films and would
be able to notice more.

Year 13 introduced
me this website
named
‘slideshare’.
It allows me to
upload PowerPoint
presentation and
makes it more
interesting to
view.

log in, you will
see a big
‘upload’ button
which if you click
it will allow you
to upload a
presentation.
Once you have selected
the presentation it will
start to upload; once is
has finished uploading
it will come up in a
video form which you
can click to go forward
or backwards and
makes your
presentation look more
interesting

Another site that
year 13 introduced
me to was ‘wordle’.
This site allows me
to type up words
and it mixes the
words around,
changes colour and
makes it a lot more
interesting than a
long list of words.

6. Once you have typed up all your
words into this bar, you press
‘Go’.
After pressing ‘Go’ it comes up in
a bubble of words which you can
change by pressing the
randomize button.
As you randomize a lot of
different styles will appear; this
allows you to pick your favourite,
I chose this one as I think it is
affective towards our blog.

Another site that
year 13 thought
would be effective
is ‘prezi’. This site
allows you to
create your own
slides and add
your own effects
onto them. It
allows us to
organize, present,
and share our
presentation.

prezi by clicking
on the ‘+ New
Prezi’ button;
this allows you
to add in
backgrounds
photos, text,
effects, all
different types
of fades and a
lot more. You
can do this by
clicking on the
buttons along
the top of your
prezi

9. Year 13 basically explained that if we want to
create a good blog we should use a lot off
different media and that essays and long lists
would not be effective. Therefore we should use
lots off different medias from PowerPoint to
drawing on the white board at school.
We should also do a few videos; all of this
creates a more interesting Blog to view.

10. Year 13 advice has definitely helped as we now
can use a wider range of media to present on
our blog and we can also split what sites we use
among ourselves as before we would only use a
few sites.
Year 13 ideas also have made it easier to create
new posts for the blog and will hopefully make it
easier to add new media onto our blog.
