This document discusses work styles and arrangements based on a survey of over 39,000 employees. It finds that 64% of employees operate in non-conventional work styles like being networkers or individual contributors. Only 4% are currently equipped to work remotely. While most employees have an assigned office, optimal arrangements would be 26% working from home and 28% having flexible internal arrangements. Tracking employees' locations, 36% were found to be working from home on a given Tuesday. Intelligently shifting to different work arrangements could provide an estimated $30 million in cost savings, avoid over 20,000 tons of emissions, and create nearly 800,000 extra hours of productivity time annually for 10,000 employees.
