I. Teacher’s Reflections (material, method, and objectives): I was able to meet
my objectives. Although next time I will not have the students develop the
closing activities with music because they start to misbehave if I want them
to listen to music I have to select music that will calm them instead of using
motivational songs that will want to make them jump.
4. Reflection:
Ineffective Technology Integration Lesson Plan
In overall this lesson plan was excellent. My students understood the new
material. The focus of this lesson plan was to create an awareness of the
phonograms /it/ and /ig/. The lesson became ineffective when I decided to play
children songs while the students were developing the closing activities. At first
the students started to sing along while completing the given task. A couple of
minutes passed and the students started to focus more on the songs rather than
on the task. I tried to diminish the misbehavior by turning off the music. In
exchange the students felt less motivated to complete the task. From this day on
I learned that songs are play an important role for stimuli among the students. I
decided to have at least one song played each day to motivate my students.
