6. Ceramic Rope
Ceramic Fiber Rope braided packings also contain reinforcement insert materials of either inconel wire
or continuous fiberglass filament to increase handling strength during installation and enhance fiber
durability to rated temperatures of 2000 °F (1093 °C) for SS wire and 1200 °F (649 °C) for fiberglass
filament.
Round braided rope is dense, resilient, high performance ceramic fiber material fabricated from
ceramic fiber yarn braided around a core of ceramic fiber rope to form a packing in round section. It is

11. Greased and Graphite Packing
Available in square section plaited cover on cover, where each yarn is individually impregnated with
high grade lubricant and graphite. It is used for medium pressure condition complying to IS Specn.
4687-1995 commercial quality.
Metallic plaited cover on cover reinforced with soft brass wire, which improves its strength and
antifriction properties. It is especially suited to high speed rotary and reciprocating shafts even at higher
