Rachel Whitted completed a senior project where she taught a student, Sydney Holden, how to play the oboe. This involved learning how to make reeds, adjust oboes when needed, and guide Sydney in learning to play through lessons and practicing scales. Rachel discussed the importance of music education and how it has benefited her. She faced challenges in finding a student to teach but enjoyed the process. Rachel hopes to continue teaching music and pursue it in college.

Though coordinating with others was challenging, Hannah learned a great deal about music theory and composition through completing this project. She plans to continue her study of music in college with the goal of having a career in music.

When I started college, I wasn’t confident enough to perform in front of anyone and struggled with a few things, musically. However, after working alongside my music teacher and violin teacher to correct different techniques and performing in different concerts, both solo and in ensembles, I feel much more confident when it comes to performing on stage?
- 10. SOMETHING I WISH I HAD DONE DIFFERENTLY One thing I wish I would have done differently, would be taking on all the opportunities offered to me.
