2. ELECTION CAMPAIGN & GOVERNMENT
FORMATION
• Campaign was based on the issues
of Corruption, Economy, Price
Rise, Unemployment and High
inflation .
• BJP under the leadership of
Narendra Modi held a great
campaign through various modes.
• The party got 282 seats forming a
majority government after 30
years with Mr. Modi as the 15th
Prime Minister of India.

3. OATH TAKING AND SAARC
• Swearing in Ceremony of new government took
place on May 26, 2014.
• The ceremony was the first swearing-in of an
Indian Prime Minister where all SAARC heads
were invited.
• After the ceremony, Modi described this new
government's first major initiative in foreign
policy as the “Right decision at the Right time."

ministers to make their agendas for the
first 100 days in office.
• Modi addressed his ministers not to

8. WORLD TOWARDS INDIA AFTER
MODI
• Modi made his first FOREIGN
visit to Bhutan.
• In July 2014, he visited Brazil
for the 6th BRICS Summit for
his first multilateral visit.
• Modi arrived Nepal and give a
formula of HIT which meant
Highways , Information Ways
and Trans ways between both
countries.
