The children in a school in Asif Nagar organized a design for change contest to motivate their community about hygiene. They identified garbage and lack of sanitation as issues causing disease. The children spoke to community members about the benefits of cleanliness. Together, the children and community cleaned up garbage around the school, burning and removing waste. They were happy with the positive change and the children wanted to share their experience with other communities.

1. Design for change contest in SVBP (Asif Nagar)<br />The Design for change contest Activity was done by the children in GPS SVBP Asif Nagar. It was an idea of the children to motivate the community towards hygiene. <br />The children who were participated in the programme are:<br />AnishaD/o Raju5th class

5. E. Sandhya RaniD/o Ramana 5th ClassFEEL: Most of the people in that area were suffering from fever and other diseases due to garbage and other waste materials. In the rainy season all the garbage become wet and bacteria was forming. Because of that bad smell was coming. Mosquitos and flys were moving around the garbage causing to diseas. And viral infections also spreading.The small children were easily effected by the diseases due to lack of hygiene. So the children aware of the problem in their area and decided to motivate the community to clean their sorroundings. They have chosen the primary step to clean the garbage in their school.<br />IMAGINE: The children have spoken to the community members and explained about the situation in the community. The children explained about the advantages of hygienic conditions in the community. The parents felt happy about the initiative taken by the children. They told that they will be the part of the change in their sorroundings. <br />DO: The children and the community members have joined to gether and cleaned the garbage in the school. They sweeped the waste papers and waste material and burnt it. Then the place became clean. All the children and community members felt happy about the change.<br />SHARE: The children felt that their lives will be changed by caring about issues and they shared it with other communities. The community people implimented the idea in other areas of their community.
