2. In this constantly globalizing world, we often strive to be perfect. We all want the
best in all aspects in life and at times we tend to push the imperfections aside and
regard them as useless and not wanted. In this case I’ll be talking about people with
disabilities.
Today, there exists too much of negativity in this world that it makes people with
disabilities very unmotivated and make the society stereotype the people with
disabilities as very heavy burden in their lives.
Above shown is an advertisement that delivers a deep message within its visual
context. The exact message that NIKE is trying to deliver here is that no matter what
your circumstances are whether your are born with disabilities or became disabled
because of some unforeseen events in life, you can still chase for your dreams and
ambitions no matter what comes in between you and your dreams and ambitions. For
example, the man standing in the NIKE advertisement is clearly considered as a
disabled man. But because of his burning passion for running, he got himself
prosthetic legs and kept on chasing his dream to become a professional runner and
pushes the boundaries of a disabled man’s abilities. Other than that, this
advertisement also diminishes the stereotyping that has been haunting the people with
disabilities such the lost of hope in achieving their life’s dreams and ambitions. In
conjunction to that, this advertisement is giving inspiration to the people who are
disabled and lost hope in life, it is persuading them to go ahead and push the
boundaries of their lives to the limit and discover new possibilities they and the rest of
