In the essay, he argues that individuals should disobey and break unjust laws in order to follow their moral conscience over mechanically serving the state. Further, Thoreau believes civil disobedience is justified and necessary to enact positive change when a government acts immorally and suppresses justice and truth.

George Bernard Shaw's play "Candida" from 1895 examines marriage and relationships in Victorian England through the lens of a love triangle. The play centers on Candida Morell, who must choose between her husband, Reverend James Morell, and a young poet, Eugene Marchbanks, who declares his love for her. In the climactic scene, Candida chooses to stay with her husband not because of marital obligations, but because she sees he needs her support more than the independent Marchbanks. Shaw subverts romantic conventions by having the wife remain with the husband rather than elope with the lover. The play uses the relationship between Candida, Morell, and Marchbanks to explore the complex ties between partners in

Shelley himself participated in reforms and wrote about liberty, equality, and justice. However, he also saw poets as saviors who faced opposition from critics, tyrannical governments, and conventional society but who could inspire future generations through their work.

1. in a treia povestire din "Hanu Ancutei", narator este mos Leonte zodierul, care, in urma cu mult timp,
elementelor naturii, putand ghici intamplarile in mersul stelelor de pe cer si in semnele vremii. Povestea lui
infatiseaza istoria unui boier, Nastasa Bolomir, casatorit de mai multe ori, murindu-i insa toate sotiile, "de i
se dusese numele ca-i mor nevestele."
atenti tot timpul si sa retina cele intamplate, ei insisi putand fi instituiti in rolul de narator. Deplasarea
intunecarea partiala a cerului. d2p1815dz14nyg
Timpul povestirii se fixeaza in vremea tineretii personajului-narator, cand zodierul avea numai douazeci de
ani, si urmeaza aceeasi desfoliere concentrica a planurilor temporale, pana la nucleul narativ incipient. Mos
stau, toate, sub semnul unui ciclu astronomic real.
Mai intai, cand apar in spatiul narativ cei doi indragostiti, elementele
naturii stau sub semnul tulburarii erotice, amenintate de forte potrivnice: "Soarele se -nvaluise in amiaza in
Scena are dramatismul, misterul si tulburarile specifice scrierilor fantastice: "Cand a racnit astfel sub cutit
batranul, s-a facut o clipa tacere. A scaparat s-a trasnit cu sunet mare in munte.
remarca, in bogatia de sugestii expresive si simbolice a povestirii, o subtila gradare a actiunii si b simetrica
amplificare si scadere a precipitarii fortelor; astfel, retragerea puterilor adancului are loc treptat, in acelasi
mod in care se produsese invazia irealului in real.
Balaurul pare aici o fantasma materializata brusc in lumea comuna, dintr-un spatiu suprareal, fantasticul
niciodata".
