•  Superbia (pride)
•  Avaritia (greed)
•  Luxuria (lust)
•  Invidia (envy)
•  Gula (gluttony)
•  Ira (wrath)

The virtues
•  Chastity (Castitas) (purity) (the opposite of lust (Luxuria)) - Includes moral
behaviour and achieving both mental and physical purity.
•  Temperance (Temperare) (self-control) (the opposite of gluttony (Gula)) - You
should practice abstention and restraint.
•  Charity (Caritas) (will, generosity) (the opposite of greed (Avaritia)) - willing to
give something of yourself in both thought and action.
•  Diligence (Industria) (ethics, moral) (the opposite of sloth (Acedia)) - Be alert,
physically active, have the will to work.
•  Patience/Forgiveness (Patientia) (peace) (the opposite of wrath (Ira)) - The
ability to forgive and show mercy to sinners. Resolve conflicts peacefully, as
opposed to using violence.
•  Good will/Kindness (Benevolentia) (pleasure) (the opposite of envy (Invidia)) —
Compassion, friendship and sympathy without prejudice.
•  Humility (Humilitas) (modesty) (the opposite of pride (Superbia)) – Modest
behaviour, selflessness and being respectful. Give credit to others instead of
glorifying oneself.
