This document outlines a proposed touchscreen ordering system for a restaurant or cafe. It notes some issues with the current manual process, including delay in serving, miscommunication of orders, and need for more staff. The proposed automated system would allow customers to view menus, place orders, and pay bills directly on a touchscreen, sending orders directly to the kitchen and generating bills automatically. This is expected to save customer time, reduce staff workload, and increase serving speed. The system would be developed using .NET Framework, XML, SQL Server, and Visual Studio, and require at least 512MB RAM, 40GB hard disk, and a dual core processor.
