The legislation related to IPPC in the Czech Republic
is as follows:
• Act No. 76/2002 Coll. on integrated pollution prevention and
control,
• Decree No 554/2002 Coll. laying down the form
of an application for granting an integrated permit, the extent
and manner of its completion,
• Decree No. 63/2003 Coll. the concept and range
of exchanging the best available techniques information.

The BAT Information Exchange Forum was established on
the basis of the Government Decree.
Forum tasks:
• the procedure for the exchange of information on BAT at
the EU level, in particular in the European Forum and
European Technical Working Groups
• monitors and evaluates the work of TWGs
• discusses expert comments and interpretations of EU BAT
documents
• translations of BREF into Czech language

6. National system of information exchange
on Best Available Techniques
• monitoring the development of BAT in the Czech Republic
• provision of translations of EU documents
• transmission and publication of information on BAT
development and publication of a list of installations
• assessment of the application of BAT in accordance with
the conditions set out in the current integrated permits
• fulfillment of obligations to report on the results of audits
carried out
• transmission of the assessment results to the competent
administrative authorities and the competent EU
authorities
