Training and development programs aimed at improving employee performance can bridge the gap between current and desired performance. Training methods like coaching, mentoring, and peer participation enable employees to actively participate and improve both individual and organizational performance.
Previous studies show a strong positive relationship between training and development programs and employee performance. Training improves employee knowledge, skills, and abilities, leading to better job performance and overall organizational performance. A 2011 study found a positive correlation between training and employee performance.
Proper training is necessary to develop employees and improve performance through increased motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. Training should be planned to increase commitment and support career development. Human resource practices like training opportunities positively impact employee performance.

Human resource is an asset to any organization and as a result training has become an issue that has to be faced by every organization. The main objective of this study was to determine whether training has an outcome on employee performance and organizational effectiveness. This study is both qualitative and quantitative in nature. In order to address the objective of the study, descriptive study design was used in which data was collected across a sample population through simple random sampling. Two hundred thirty-four (234) questionnaires were distributed for the collection of data and 223 were filled and returned back. The methodologies that were used to collect the data were questionnaire and interview augmented by different literature's found in the organization. Results show that training and delivery style have effect on employees performance and also training design have positively affect the overall organizational performance, the organizations predominantly used on-the-job training method, though there is a trade-off between the two methods and less emphasis has been given to off-the-job training methods, the major challenges of human resource training programs of organizations are shortage of training materials, shortage of budget for employee training's, absence of training needs assessment. Hence, it is better if organizations design a training program based on the need assessment result or the requirements of the job and employee deficiency of ability for the job in order to increase individual as well as the overall organization performance.

HRD Individual EssayHuman resource development (HRD) pr.docxwellesleyterresa
HRD Individual Essay
Human resource development (HRD) professionals are tasked with the challenge to create a competitive advantage for organisations through investment in human capital. It is therefore imperative for HRD professionals to employ initiatives that improve the motivation, knowledge and skills of employees which are difficult for competitors to replicate (Hagen, 2012; Kim, 2014). Coaching in the workplace is becoming a widely used intervention to help organisations achieve these goals (Cox, Bachkirova & Clutterbuck, 2014; Ellinger, Ellinger, Bachrach, Wang & Elmadag Bas, 2011; Ellinger, Ellinger & Keller, 2003; Goldman, Wesner & Karnchanomai, 2013; Hagen & Peterson, 2014; Hui, Sue-Chan & Wood, 2013; Kim, 2014; Ladyshewsky, 2010). However, there is disagreement as to whether coaching sits in the realm of HRD or as a separate business function (Egan & Hamlin, 2014). This is due to coaching being a relatively new intervention which lacks a defined framework, definitive boundaries and the level of research found in an established industry (Egan & Hamlin, 2014). While it is a generally accepted view in academic research that implementation of such a program will result in improvements in performance on both an individual and organisational level, who is responsible for this program and how it should be implemented is widely debated (Hamlin, Ellinger & Beattie, 2008; Hamlin & Stewart, 2011). This review will focus on how managerial coaching fits into the realm of HRD through analysing the effect on not only performance levels but other important HRD concepts and goals such as the learning and meaning of work paradigms as defined by Bates and Chen (2004, 2005).
Prior to understanding the link between HRD and managerial coaching, it is imperative to grasp relevant concepts. Human resource development is training and development and organisation development initiatives with the intended outcome being enhancement of performance for both the individual and the organisation (Hamlin & Stewart, 2011; McGraw & Peretz, 2011; Young Sung & Choi, 2014). Although there are multiple definitions in the literature, consistently coaching is defined as intentionally guiding the individual, group or organisation to achieve performance improvements as well as growth and development on a personal level (Baker, 2010; Beattie, Kim, Hagen, Egan, Ellinger & Hamlin, 2014; Goldman et al. 2013; Hamlin & Stewart, 2011; Rock & Donde, 2008; Rowold, 2008). On the surface, the definitions of coaching and HRD both focus on the same outcome so obviously must be linked. The analysis of the two concepts is however not so straight forward. Managerial coaching is facilitated by a manager or supervisor within the organisation (Ellinger et al. 2011; Hagen, 2012; Hagen & Aguilar, 2012; Kim, 2014; Kim, Egan & Moon, 2014). Performance is usually aligned with productivity and relates to how effectively an employee carries out their specific role in the organisation (Ellin ...

This is specially so because a happy and motivated worker is an efficient performer. Methodology: Set in North Eastern part of Nigeria a sample size of 146 employees which included 88 from government organizations and 58 from private banking sector were taken up for the study through nonprobability convenience sampling method. The data collection instrument gathered the demographic profile of the respondents while information for other above mentioned variables was drawn together through different Likert type scales employed in earlier researches. Cronbach’s Alpha values were put to confirm the validity of the instrument, moreover Pearson Correlations, Pearson Chi Square Test, One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Levene Statistics, Games-Howell Test, Simple Means, Standard Deviation and Percentages were additional data analysis tools. Findings: The comparative analysis of bank and government employees vis-à-vis variables tested gave out findings which were similar as well as different for these two sectors. Government employees were found to be more motivated, having positive views on intrinsic rewards and training that they received, which was in sharp contrast to banking professionals. Despite being less motivated bankers nonetheless were better performing job wise than their government sector counterparts. Age and income also had affect on the above mentioned independent variables for the employees surveyed. Originality, Limitation and Implication: The novelty aspect of the study is sustained right from the initial research on the topic, continuing with theory level/conceptual framework, literature review to findings. Despite the research having resource crunch is unique in the manner that no such work in has been carried out in North Eastern part of Nigeria, the area which is vastly uncharted. The study is likely to fuel academic and scholarly pursuits in future studies which are similar in nature, it can be a guiding light to human resource practitioners in the corporate world as well as researchers in the field of management. Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

that it is not possible for the firm to gain higher returns without best utilization of its human
resource, and it can only happen when firm is able to meet its employee’s job related needs in
timely fashion.
Generally, it can be debated that the effect of training program on employee outcomes
such as motivation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment, did not received much
attention so far. Rare work was done to test whether firms can affect their workers attitude,
through proper training interventions. According to Bueler, et al., (1992) training should be
planned in such a way that it results in organizational commitment. On the other hand (Gaertner
& Nollen, 1989). proposed that employees’ commitment is a result of some human resource
practices, that is, succession planning and promotions, career development and training
opportunities. All these practices, when achieved results in greater employee performance.
Moreover, Meyer & Smith (2000), investigate the link between Human Resource Management
3. practices and organizational commitment, so as to discover the causes of effective employee
performance (Harrison & Huntington, 2000).
There are many reports that concluded that there is positive correlation between effective
training program and employee’s productivity
