we wear have all been influenced by different cultures
coming into one country. Even the language that we

Positive diversity encourages a rich
exchange of traditions, languages, and customs,
promoting cultural understanding.
Negative Effects of Cultural Diversity
 Cultural Misunderstandings:
Lack of understanding and
miscommunication can lead to tension or conflict among
individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
 Marginalization:
Certain cultural groups may face
marginalization, limiting their access to opportunities
and resources.
 Cultural Appropriation:
Borrowing elements from a culture
without understanding or respect can lead to cultural
appropriation, which is often seen as disrespectful.
Basic Characteristics of Culture
 Culture is learned
• It is taught to others
• Children learn patterns by imitating adults and developing
attitudes accepted by others.

appropriate behavior based on traditions that have been passed
