A 38-year-old male patient visited the clinic needing a tooth extracted from the upper left back tooth region. Upon examination, it was found to have an RCTed root stump. The patient agreed to have the tooth removed and replaced with a dental implant. The root stump was extracted carefully to preserve the bone. A osteotomy was performed and a 4.2x14mm implant was placed, achieving an adequate torque of 40 Nm. Bone graft material was applied and sutures were used to complete the procedure.

Immediate temporary bridge on immediate placement implants
A patient wanted to replace missing central incisors with an implant supported bridge but could not afford grafting. Two lateral incisors were extracted and immediate implants placed. A temporary bridge was fabricated and placed on the day of surgery using stock abutments, a latex sheet, and bisacryl to give the patient a fixed temporary prosthesis immediately.

A patient wanted to replace missing central incisors with an implant supported bridge but could not afford grafting. Two lateral incisors were extracted and immediate implants placed. A temporary bridge was fabricated and placed on the day of surgery using stock abutments, a latex sheet, and bisacryl to give the patient a fixed temporary prosthesis immediately.

This study evaluated the efficacy of using periotomes for single-rooted nonsurgical tooth extractions compared to traditional extraction techniques. 100 patients were randomly assigned to have a tooth extracted using either a periotome (test group) or traditional methods using forceps (control group). The results found that extractions using periotomes took less time, resulted in less post-extraction pain reported by patients on a visual analogue scale over 7 days, required less analgesic consumption, and caused fewer gingival lacerations compared to traditional methods. The study concluded that the use of periotomes can help reduce post-extraction discomfort compared to conventional extraction techniques.

A osteotomy was performed and a 4.2x14mm implant was placed, achieving an adequate torque of 40 Nm. Bone graft material was placed and sutures were used to complete the immediate implant procedure.
