Imaris is a software toolbox for visualizing, analyzing, segmenting, and interpreting 3D and 4D microscopy image datasets. It supports over 40 file formats from various microscopy techniques. Imaris allows users to gain additional structural and analytical insights from imaging data by visualizing and measuring 3D cell structures, tracing neurons in 3D, performing cell detection and tracking over time, and generating analytical plots from 3D image data. Imaris has applications in many fields of biological research including cancer research, neuroscience, stem cell research, cell biology, and developmental biology.
