3. Tess Echo Victoria
Founder, &
Artistic Director
Tess Victoria has been dancing since she
could walk. Her strong foundation comes
from her dedicated years of studying ballet.
She has also trained in contemporary, jazz,
lyrical, modern, tap, hip hop, and ballroom.
Her ballet studies include four intense years
as a company member with the selective
pre-professional Danse Etoile Ballet. She has
also spent her summers training at dance
intensives including the prestigious Boston
Ballet School.
She started assistant teaching at the young age of twelve, and has a
deep regard for the art of teaching dance. She has experience with all
ages and many styles of dance including ballet, pointe, contemporary,
lyrical, and jazz. She is currently teaching ballet at Dance Space in
Erie, and at Grace Studios in Broomfield.
Her choreography has been presented on stages for the past five
years. High school theater productions, elementary school choirs,
theater companies, summer camps for performing arts, and a hand-
ful of dance studios across Colorado have all played host to her work.
Tess has choreographed as well as performed solos which were hon-
ored with outstanding entertainment and judge’s choice awards at the
national level of competition.
Now working as a professional dancer, she has been seen in several
theatre shows around Colorado. Favorite shows include Peter Pan
and West Side Story, where she played featured dance roles in each.
Founding Contemporary Echo is a dream come true, and Tess is so
excited to embark on this journey! “To have my own small space in
the epic vastness of this creative universe is truly a blessing, I cannot
wait to share everything I am through the art of dance.”

Sky is excited to foray into the world of contem-
porary ballet after her classical training with the
School of American Ballet as a young girl and
a lengthy career in musical theatre. Currently,
she can be seen in Hello Dolly at the Candlelight
Dinner Payhouse in Johnstown. She would like
to thank her dad for his encouragement in dance
early in life so that she could challenge herself at
this (much later) point in her life. Enjoy!
Cole is proud to be a part of Echo’s inaugural
show! A Colorado native, he’s been seen on stages
all over the state. His work as a choreographer
and scenic/light/costume designer has been seen
in over 100 shows! Favorite roles include Ren
(Footloose), Mark (Altar Boys), Cosmo (Singin’ in
the Rain), Barnaby (Hello Dolly), Angel (RENT),
and Mistofolees (Cats). He also spent 5 years sail-
ing the world as a performer for Holland Amer-
ica. Cole is overjoyed to be onstage with friends,
and grateful to the people who have been the light
in the darkest part of his life. “Thank you for help-
ing me learn to dance in the rain!”
Zach Kester recently graduated wiht a Music &
Dance undergraduate degree at CU boulder, and
is happy to already be a part of such a great fam-
ily of dancers! He has never worked profession-
ally for dance before, but hopes to continue to
do so along side whatever else the future holds.

5. Shaina Wexler

Shaina Wexler is a multifaceted American artist
who resides half the year living and working in
Paris, France. As a songwriter, she released her
premier album, Tout ou Rien, and is now record-
ing her second album, The Truth of Fantasy. In
musical theater, Shaina has won awards for her
performances in Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma,
Phantom, Footloose, and others. As a dancer,
Shaina has taught various styles of dance nation
wide, and has choreographed many productions.
She is thrilled to dance with Contemporary Echo,
and honored to be a part of the inaugural show.

Melissa has been trained in multiple styles of
dance including, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Contemporary,
and Ballet. She started her dance career at Axis of
Movement, then was accepted to the prestigious
ballet academy Longmont Dance Theater com-
pany. Melissa has also trained with the Talentos
dance company in Peru. She has spent years com-
peting as the lead of group dances. Favorite roles
include: Arabian dancer (Nutcracker) and Wolf
(Peter and the Wolf). Melissa is thrilled that she
has the opportunity to dance with Contemporary
Echo, and looks forward to expressing her love of
dance.
Will is grateful for this opportunity to perform
with Contemporary Echo! He is a Colorado
native and earned his B.F.A. in Film and minor in
dance from CU Boulder. He has trained in sever-
al styles of dance, most recently at the Colorado
Conservatory of Dance. Favorite musical theatre
credits include West Side Story, Mike (A Chorus
Line), Hairspray, 42nd Street, and most recently as
Harry Beaton in Performance Now’s production
of Brigadoon. Thanks for supporting the arts and
enjoy the performance!

6. Kimberly Crawford

Adam is a classically trained guitarist and Colora-
do native who enjoys writing in the third person.
He started guitar at the age of ten, but got serious
about it when he realized how much girls like
guitar noises. He has since written musicals, acted
in plays, and participated in other self-aggrandiz-
ing activities. While at CU Boulder he. somehow,
became the music director of the a cappella group
In The Buff. Adam now works as a copywriter, but
still rocks the karaoke mic and plays in various
bands. While he’d never admit it, he’s very proud
of his little sister for creating Contemporary Echo
and is happy to be on stage with her again.
Kimberly Ann Crawford is a classically trained
soprano from Boulder, CO and holds a BMT in
Vocal Performance, with emphasis in theatre
electives, from the University of Colorado. She
recently made her professional debut as Maria,
in West Side Story at the Candlelight Dinner
Playhouse in Johnstown, CO. Kimberly’s credits
include Dew Fairy (Hansel et Gretel), Sharon
Graham (Master Class), Venere (La incoronazi-
one di Poppea), and Mimi Marquez (RENT). In
the spring of 2015, she was accepted into the
Boston Conservatory and NYU for Graduate
Voice Performance.

7. Founded in 2015, Contemporary Echo is a professional
contemporary dance company based out of Boulder County.
Echo was envisioned as a collaborative home for dancers
from all around Colorado. Tess Victoria - a professional
choreographer, dancer, and wildly enthusiastic dreamer -
created Echo with an unconventional mindset and a yearning
for expression. The company’s principles of passion, artistry,
dedication, and a little magic are certainly hard to miss.
