The document discusses the author's journey with art and drama from childhood to the present. As a child, the author loved painting, acting, and using any surface as a canvas. In their teen years, art became about portraits and details, which the author struggled with, leading them to stop making art. The author then rediscovered their passion for drama, which allowed creative expression and meeting new friends. The author believes the arts are important for children to explore their creativity and see different perspectives, and that with encouragement, people can remain artistic throughout their lives.
3. I have always believed that life is all about
growing and nothing shows growth in a
person’s life more than the art that a person
dose or fills their life with.
I have always believed that life
is all about growing and nothing
shows growth in a person’s life
more than the art that a person
does or fills their life with.
4. When I was young my life was all about art
and drama. I loved painting and acting ….Nothing was safe from
my art. The walls, floor,
my pets and even my
mum. If it was stationary
it was a canvas and
brushes just slowed me
down.
5. Once I got older however, art
became less splashes of colour
and colourful lines and it became
more about portraits and details.
6. This became
a problem as I
could not
draw like they
wanted me to
and soon I
simply stoped
and looked
for another
outlet
8. Drama set me free!
Because of drama I met new friends, got to
dress up in silly costumes and could be a
completely different person, no mater what
they were like
9. If there was something I
loved more than doing art it
was doing drama, playing
puppets and coming up with
costumes. Drama combines
the best of both worlds
10. The thing I loved the most
about drama and art was
that it could take me any
place I wanted,
A place were I
could be any
thing I wanted to
be, dress any
way I wanted and
just have fun
11. But some children
never get this
chance because
Drama and the
arts is not a
priority for
schools when it
should be
12. The arts allow people to view the
world in any way that they want
too.
This is why the Arts are so important to
schools because everyone deserves the
chance to see the world in a new way, or
through someone elses eyes
Drama and
the Arts give
children a
way to
express their
feelings , to
get rid of
anger and to
generally
have fun
making a lot
of noise and
mess.
13. Because every child is an
artist and if not encoured
that creativity fades away.
And the world goes
from this
to this
14. Every one has
artistic talent
when they are
young, we are all
imaginative and If
all children where
encouraged then
more adults
would continue to
be artistic and
imaginative
15. Every child is an artist. The problem is
how to remain an artist once we grow
up. By Pablo Picasso
