The ifs Student Investor Challenge is an investment game for UK students aged 14-19 where teams of four students manage a virtual £100,000 portfolio over multiple phases with the goal of growing their wealth. The top prize is a trip to New York for the winning team. Throughout the challenge, individual teams can win monthly prizes for most improved portfolio. The top 20 teams from each region will advance to regional finals involving investment questions. The two best teams from each regional final will be invited to compete in the national final.

1. ifs Student Investor Challenge
The ifs Student Investor Challenge is a UK wide investment game for students with a top prize of
a trip to New York. On top of that, both you and your school/college get prize money to spend as
well – bonus! There are also other prizes on offer throughout the challenge.
What Does the Challenge Involve?
The ifs Student Investor Challenge is designed for teams of four students and has two distinct
phases:
Phase One: Using the website, invest a virtual £100,000 in a set of stocks and watch your wealth
grow.
Each month, the most improved team will be rewarded with a prize (maximum one prize per
team).
Phase Two: The top 20 or so teams from each region with the best performing portfolios will be
invited to attend the regional finals. Teams will be given a series of questions and the top two
teams from each region will be invited to the National Final.
How Can I Take Part?
To take part you'll need a team of four students aged 14-19 on 31 July 2015 .
Practice Game
To help you get into the swing of things, we also have a practice game which will be available to
registered teams from 1 October 2014 until 1 November 2014.
