If I Had My Life To Live Over Tone
The poem if I had my life to live over, revolves around life and living. The poem is being spoken directly to another person. An older individual
offering an adolescent advice about life readily comes to mind. I central idea in the poem is to live life. The poet uses tone, imagery, and device to
show the central idea. In the poem, the poet uses tone to make the main idea more clear to the reader. When the poet writes, they do it in the
regretful way, that is shown by the choice of words used in the poem. The speaker in the poem is talking to right person much younger than them,
perhaps a grandchild. They are telling the young person that, if they had to live their life over again, they would do it differently. It's clear that the
speaker regrets things that they did and didn't do. In the second line it says, " I dare to make more mistakes next time." By saying next time, the
speaker is stating that if there was a next time, a second chance, they would lighten up and take more risks even if it was a mistake. Also many times
throughout the poem the word "would" is used. When it says, " I would be sillier than I have been this trip" they are saying all of the things that they
wished they did when they had the chance. This regretful tone, helps to make the central idea clear because the regret that the person... Show more

Imagery, is used frequently in the poem. This is to help the reader develop a better understanding of the poem through visualization. In the last line it
says, " I would pick more daisies", this is not a literal action that the speaker would do if they had their life to live over. They are saying that they
would stop and take time to enjoy the little things in life. This could include picking daisies, or having a nice talk with someone. This image puts a
small act of picking flowers in your head, although this is an unimportant action to your life, there is deep meaning behind

What Does Morrie Teach People To Live Life
"Death is as natural as life, It's part of the deal I made." (Albom, 164) Tuesdays with Morrie is about an elderly man dying of ALS teaching people
how to live. Morrie teaches people to live life through accepting death, showing love to loved ones before they're gone and that showing emotion is all
right and important. First, Morrie teaches people to live life through accepting death. Morrie thinks people should accept death by reason of it's
important to realize nobody lives forever. "Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live." (Albom, 82) My opinion on this topic is I do consider
our own selves should accept death being if a person dies and you've already accepted the fact that everyone eventually dies it may not be as tough on
you. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Morrie thinks that showing emotions is an important part of life due to holding it in isn't healthy for you. "Learn to detach." (Albom, 103) It's
great to show your emotions or drop grudges since anyone at any moment could be gone and you'll regret telling that person how you actually felt
about them. Last year on the Fourth of July I fought my best friend at the time for talking poorly of me and when I told her to stop and she didn't,
we went without talking the whole summer until our friend Paige passed away, I told her I'd drop all the drama between us the reasoning for that
is it was pointless to still be arguing over that when young people were being taken away from us at the blink of an eye. Lastly, Morrie teaches
people that love goes on. Morrie thinks love is the way to stay alive. "Love is how you stay alive, even after you're gone. (Albom, 133) My opinion
is that even if that person is gone if they're still people that love them they're not absolutely gone. When I was in the 8th grade another one of my
friends Isabella Moralez committed suicide, it's almost 2 years that she's passed and how much I miss her hasn't changed since the day she left us.
People still show her tons of love and she'll never be

A Black Belt Paragraph
Ed is a family friend who lives near my house. We became friends after meeting at a family party and having conversations about taekwondo. He has
become a special person to me. Ed is always there when you need him. He helped me accomplish getting my black belt in taekwondo by training me
after school during his free time. He motivated me to practice many hours and showed me videos on how to improve.
If it weren't for Ed, I wouldn't have accomplished my goal. I wouldn't have a black belt if it wasnt for his time and dedication training me. His love for
taekwondo helped him strive to get his fourth degree black belt. This helped me to reach for my goal because I wanted to be just like him. I have

The American Dream And Live A Life Of Freedom
The American dream is something everyone wants, it's Somewhere where anyone can come and be free to say whatever they want and to Be free of
forced religion. It is one of the main reason that people want to come join America. A Lot of people move here insight of becoming a Very wealthy
person and dreams of creating something amazing. I think that if any person wants to live in The United States, and live a life of freedom, then they
should be able to, but they have to work for it for many years and not just come in.
The thing is is that very few people come here to actually help the Country, almost all of them come here to benefit themselves and not others. They

Rough Draft: How To Live A Simple Happy Life
Rough Draft– How to Live a Simple, Happy Life Fortune, fame, and success. These goals are what come to mind when one dreams of his or her
future. However, there is one huge aspect missing–happiness. Happiness is one of the easiest yet most fulfilling goals to have in life. Additionally,
when one is happy he or she is more likely to encounter fortune, fame, and success. But just how easy is it to be happy? First, one must understand the
biological reasons for happiness. Second, one must take action. Bottom line, happiness is a choice that everyone must make.
The Science Behind it The brain is responsible for the way we perceive and carry out life. In regards to happiness, there are four main neurotransmitters
responsible of that level. Neurotransmitters are chemicals released by neurons that carry information from one neuron to another. Below is information
on the four neurotransmitters and their roles in happiness.
Dopamine is commonly known as "The Reward Molecule." It resides in the central nervous system and influences movement, learning, attention, and
emotion. More specifically, dopamine is responsible for reward–driven behavior and pleasure seeking. "Every type of reward seeking behavior that has

Do not take this study lightly. Sleep is a biological need, it is vital to the human body. Deprivation will not kill anyone directly. However, it will cause
personality shifts (irritations, mood swings, microsleeps), hallucinations, and paranoia. Microsleep is temporary sleep that lasts anywhere from 1
second to 30 seconds. An individual becomes unconscious for that time period and fails to process sensory input. Loss of sleep also affects
concentration, memory, hunger, weight, and the immune system, all negatively. Studies show that driver fatigue is the cause of 20% of US car
accidents. When the clocks 'spring forward' in the Spring, more accidents

Reflection Paper
I used to be the person that went along with what everyone else was doing. I used to be the person that focused on basic values such as love,
honesty, and confidence. Even though those are values that everyone is expected to have, I never fully understood what they were supposed to look
like in everyday life. It was last year around September when my Church released the sign up sheet for a mission trip to Costa Rica. When I was
14–years–old, I attended a trip to Costa Rica with my church. I had the experience, but was younger and more immature at that time. The summer of
2015 was eye–opening. However, what I experienced never officially stuck with me. In early January I decided to sign up for the 2017 mission trip,
in hopes that I would find myself there. It was bright and early when my youth group drove into the church parking lot. We unloaded our suitcases
from our cars, and packed them into the van. Our flight was supposed to take off around 8:30 a.m. that morning. I remember feeling anxious on our
way there. Questions raced through my mind nonstop such as, "What if I lose my passport? How do I communicate with them if I don't speak
Spanish? What if they don't like me? What if I don't feel God?" When we arrived, all my worries faded almost immediately. I automatically got a
feeling of a home away from home. All my memories from my first trip came flooding back. I had a happy heart, and a mind at peace. Later that week
things began to get more serious and in depth.

My Personal Experience : My Experience At School
This year started atrociously and I was asceticism to the fact that my job was keeping me from doing my finest in school. I look back at it not with
disappointment but with the recognition that I can't multi–task two major time–consuming activities. I was working 5–9pm, 6 days a week was
physically and mentally exhausting I would always come to school tired. I would be tardy and or late every day in my 1st hour. At one point I was
failing four classes. I would come home from work and be up until like 3 am. I was trying my best to keep up on like the essays but my ADHD made
everything so hard. But it was so much I would end up stressing out. Semester one was just rough in general. I went to parent–teacher conferences and
it opened my eyes but not enough for change. But by the end of conferences, my mom was crying because she wanted to know what was wrong. I
wanted to tell her but I couldn't. I'd rather self–destruct myself than have everyone worried about me. Then I was to a point when I just didn't care
what anyone else thought I just wanted to make money and blow it on materialistic things like clothes and shoes and things of those sorts. I was at
a point where I literally let money control who I was and how I acted as a person. Finally came the day of the essay I really did try like my problem
was I had all the information but didn't know how to put it on paper and I also struggled with focusing on writing the paper because the number of

Relationships In Life Of Pi And The Lives Of Animals
Explore the relationship between humans and animals in Life of Pi and The Lives of Animals
Introduction
According to Martin Heidegger (2000), anthropocentrism functions as a dogmatic paradigm in which all aspects of the natural world are related to
human beings. In this view, humanity is at the centre of all subsequent theoretical assumptions, creating a metanarrative that supports an entire system
of thought. This way of understanding the world, however, is incompatible with the postmodern approach and its tendency to deconstruct apparent
certainties, hierarchical divisions, and man's superiority and intellect. Consequently, embedded in ecocriticism, a postmodern understanding of the
relationship between humans and animals is one of the most crucial challenges to traditional Western conceptions of man as a sovereign being. This
essay is going to discuss this shift from a philosophy of a shared human essence to a more fragmented theoretical model, arguing that human and ...

Opposing to professor O'Hearne's philosophical belief that 'a process of creating abstract models' separates animals from intelligent humans (The Lives
of Animals: 62), and criticising experiments in which animals fail to exemplify human–like behaviour, Costello compares this dogmatism of reason to
what Agamben (2004) terms the anthropological machine. It is only within this ideological system of oppression that 'man is godlike, animals
thinglike' (The Lives of Animals: 23), and therefore he can 'do anything [to animals] and get away with it' (The Lives of Animals: 35). This assumption,
she claims, is only legitimate within the essentialist paradigm; outside of it, reason is only 'one tendency in human thought' that propagates animal
degradation and suffering (The Lives of Animals:

How Does Hamlet Live Or End His Life
"To be or not to be, that is the question" is the famous line from Shakespeare's Hamlet. A question of whether Hamlet should continue to live or end
his life then. John Keats takes a new spin off of this quote in his poem "Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art". The narrator is not simply
contemplating living, but rather contemplating immortality and loneliness. He is considering whether he would want to live forever, but alone, or
live only for a limited period of time with the one he loves. Ultimately, this is not a choice, but he ponders the question by thinking about a star, and
how it sees all and lives forever, but yet is isolated from everything. But the narrator does come to a conclusion to this question: While life is
temporary, and it is possible for him to focus on the time he does not have, he should enjoy the time he does have with the one he cares about. So, the
narrator uses hyperbole, repetition, and a peaceful tone created... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As you read the poem, the diction is very soothing and many of the words carry a very blissful, calming connotation. Lines such as "Pillow'd upon
my fair love's ripening breast," have many words that create the relaxing tone (10). Words like "Pillow'd" and "fair" are very tender, and though
they don't necessarily have a concrete definition that readers think of, they hold an uplifting connotation. Take the line "To feel for ever its soft fall
and swell" (11). The words "soft" and "swell" both have a general meaning to most people of positivity and goodness. In choosing to use such words,
the author creates a peaceful tone that gives most readers a sensation of enjoyment and bliss. And so, the theme of slowing down and enjoying the
quiet time you have with your love is supported, because the readers already have a general sense that this idea is what the poem is

I live as God's walking poem, because Jesus and his glory live alive in me. I know I am set apart in a special way, unlike a tree, the sky, or any
other of God's creation, and I let Christ pour out of me, right where I am because he has chosen me to live within. And even as my introverted self,
I force myself to embrace the truth that "I experience God through you more fully than I can without you," because he lives within you too. I see
God's glory revealed in the art of man's life and in the poetry of man's work, no matter who I'm with or what I'm doing, what's gone wrong or how
little I'm paid. I choose to be alive in the presence of Christ, seeking to know people as Christ is poured out of them through their own uniqueness
and individuality. (AMLW, p 178). And this is what ultimately helps me to continuously engage with others in my calling and my craft. There's no
denying that at the very core of my being, God has made me with a deep desire to want to help others pull back the layers that suffocate the truth of
who they really are and to encourage and release them to live as though they believe that they indeed have something to offer the world. (AMLW, p
17). In all that I do, I want others to know that God is an artist, not a technician, and that art is what happens when you dare to be who you really are!
(AMLW, p 21). Barriers along the way...– Not that realizing this desire didn't come at a cost.

Rhetorical Essay Conclusion
One of the main things Thoreau tries to highlight throughout the Conclusion is the importance of being one's self. He states, "If a man does not keep
pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far
away." I believe that Thoreau is making a statement and sharing his belief that it is not one's job to follow in the footsteps of others. Thoreau wants
each person to find what they are passionate about, and carve their own path, no matter how different or unique that passion may be in the eyes of
society. As I continue tolive my life, I find that this specific excerpt connects with a majority of us. Whether we admit it or not, I believe that each

a mask, throwing on whichever one I believed people would accept at the time. I was scared of what others may think if they uncovered and found
out about the real me. Eventually I took a leap of faith and shed my final mask, which benefited me in numerous ways. As I began to express my
true self and speak of the various interests I enjoyed most, I began to accumulate a new group of friends who accepted, and truly cared about the
real me. I found that I could carry out much deeper and more meaningful conversations within my new friend group, without having to worry about
the judgement that would typically come. I also found that when I spoke on my love for hunting, fishing, automobiles or any of my other hobbies

How Does Epicurus Live A Good Life
In the book, Greek and Roman Philosophy after Aristotle, a letter from Epicurus to Menoeceus is shared with us. (Saunders, 1966). Epicurus (341 –
270 BCE) was a Greek philosopher and also the father of Epicureanism. His beliefs are centered around one main theme: Death is nothing to fear
because "when death is come, we are not" (Saunders, pages 49 and 50). He declares these as absolutes for all people on earth. It is through this brief
exchange, I see that Epicurus is passionate that people live a good life and they live it to the fullest possible potential, devoid of pain and fear, while
achieving pleasure. While his thoughts on life and, ultimately, death seem to evolve throughout his letter, we begin to see that they contain some
conditions and exceptions. It is because of these that I do not fully agree with the Epicurean way.
Epicurus states that death is nothing to us. He goes on to say that since death is the cessation of life and our souls die when our physical body dies,
we should not bother ourselves with thoughts of death. (Saunders, page 50). The action of dying will never be experienced because all experience
ceases upon the very occurrence of death. We should not cause ourselves anxiety by fearing what we will never take part in.

Everybody Wants To Live The American Life, By Henry David...
Everybody wants to live the American life with all the latest technology and the nicest cars, but no one wants to acknowledge what it takes to live
that pampered life. I think that sometimes we need to step back and think about if we need all the newest technology life has to provide. I believe
that Thoreau is trying to prove to people that you don't have to have all the technology life has to provide to be happy in life. Thoreau wanted to show
people that there was a better life to live by being modest rather than having an abundance of surplus. Thoreau argues that we need to live in modesty,
how we need to have pride in doing certain things by ourselves, and by saying that we have more power than the things that we use in everyday life.
"Men think that it is essential that the Nation have commerce, and export ice, and talk through a telegraph, and ride thirty miles an hour...". People in
today's society think that it is a need to have the newest and best technology today; however, some people can't have the latest technology, and they are

Why Pets Help Kids Live A Happy Life
Why Pets Help Kids Live a Happy Life An author from Parents Magazine, Bill Strickland, interviewed Gail F. Melson, PhD, professor emeritus of
developmental studies at Purdue University and the author of Why the Wild Things Are: Animals in the Lives of Children. Melson states, "Overall,
an estimated four in ten children begin life in a family with domestic animals, and as many as ninety percent of all kids live with a pet at some point
during their childhood." (Strickland) Those are decent statistics since having a pet growing up has many positive effects. Children who live with pets
growing up become more responsible, learn lessons about life, and tend to live a healthier childhood. A child does not have many major
responsibilities. Things such as brushing their teeth, doing the dishes, and doing their homework are as severe as a child's responsibilities get. Those
type of responsibilities do not have major immediate consequences if they are not done. Owning a pet creates a lot more responsibility. When children
are the sole provider for a pet they learn that they need to take care of their pet. Things such as feeding, bathing, and spending time with a pet is
something that helps build a child's responsibility. A child understands what it feels like to be hungry. Because they know that feeling, they do not want
a pet to feel the same. They learn that they are responsible for keeping their pet fed or their pet will go hungry. Another huge responsibility that a child

What Does It Mean You Live A Life Of Meaning And Purpose?...
What does it mean to live a life of meaning and purpose? We have examined this question through at least five different authors, in different time
periods, and through different ideas. However, the common idea has remained the same, have faith in God. For a human to live a life of meaning and
purpose he must understand the truths of the natural world and the differences between what is good and evil. Jesus set an example for humans in his
stories written by Matthew by displaying the ultimate faith in God and showing what they faith can do onto the people. Even when that faith is tested
when Jesus is summoned to be put to death, he believes our God will not leave him on that cross forever. By spreading the word of the lord and by
practicing his teachings religiously his entire life, Jesus has faith that this is not the ultimate end and that there is a better life with God.
This fundamental question is explored throughout all of the readings of Matthew from the bible. The story from the very beginning displays how
important each human being is by displaying Jesus' lineage to us. In doing so, we are able to see that the savior of our world and the Son of God
could not have come to be if it weren't for the peasants and Kings of generations before him. Every life means something, but not every life has
meaning. In other words, one must possess the faith of God in his actions in life and follow his way of life to be living a life of meaning and purpose.
This is evident in chapter

hopes that it will not be a roller coaster. The reason on why I am saying I would like to live my life over again is because of my past and what I did

When I say a few I mean more like a whole list of things. To start off though one of the things that I would like to change about myself is my body, I
wish I could not be fat. I am not saying that I am really ultra–fat, I am just saying that I wish I could lose my stomach fat and be like some of the
people I see today, like my friends or people online. The second thing I would like to change is my face, I would like to lose the acne on my face
because it is embarrassing to me. The third thing that I would like to change about myself is my height, I would like to be a couple inches taller
because right now I am 5'3 and I feel like I am short but I realize that I am not that short. The fourth thing I would like to change about myself self is
my fear of needles. Ever since I was little I been terrified of needles and every time I go to the doctors I freak out when they try to test my blood or

My Mother : Live Life To Changed My Life
" Live life to the fullest" is something my mom always tells me. She always says " don't go through life with regret, just live it to please the Lord
and have fun". Her actions and perspective on life is what makes her such a good role model. My mom is the strong female figure who has impacted
my life the most. She has many personality quirks that make her such a meaningful person. Her kindness, Christ–like nature, and devotion to family has
made me into the person I am today.
To begin, my mom is the kindest person I know. In other words, she would help any person she meets along the street who are in need, even a
complete stranger. To exemplify, my mom used to volunteer at the local nursing home any chance she got. All of the people she cared for and tended
to loved her. She would always take and serve food there for all to enjoy, including several of the employees and other volun– teers. She was a
superhero to the elderly who lived there, because they rarely got any special treats. They even enjoyed her company and delighted in having
conversations with her. I could always remember getting in the car and smelling the aroma of sweet, soft, and tasty treats left in my mom's car after
going to the nursing home. I could also feel the warmth left on the seats of the car where the sweets had been laid on the way to the nursing home.
Her generosity and kindness is what has made her loved by many. Just one of many examples is how she is held in very high esteem at that particular

Jesus Should Live A Hidden Life
If the Holy Spirit asked you to step away from your public platform of ministry and into a "hidden" life before God alone, would you do it? If you
agreed to live the hidden life for a period of time and then were later presented with the option of regaining the spotlight in ministry, which lifestyle
would you choose? Rees Howells was faced with these very decisions while his ministry was thriving. As Rees Howells grew in his relationship with
Jesus, Rees began to remove his cap when he prayed because he consistently felt the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit with him. In Wales
during this time, however, everyone was expected to wear a hat or some sort of head covering outside. Because Rees often did not wear a hat outdoors,
the townspeople ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Just as Rees had lived away from the spotlight for a time, the majority of Jesus' life was not lived before people; His public ministry lasted only for
three years of His life. Jesus spent the majority of His life in secret, living before the Father just as Rees had done. Additionally, in the same manner
that Rees brought others' needs before the Throne, Jesus also represents us before our Father as our Intercessor.
The second reason that Rees should have continued to live a hidden life is that he spent more time with Jesus. When Rees had decided to continue
living in the secret place, the Holy Spirit invited him to spend his entire days sitting in God's presence and talking with Him. Because Rees devoted
his days to the Lord, he experienced such sweet fellowship with Him. By continually worshipping and growing in his faith, Rees made the most of his
time and spent it well.
The third reason that Rees should have continued his hidden lifestyle is that he was set apart. Making the decision to continue living a hidden life is
not what most would have decided to do; it is not in our nature. Because Rees decided to continue this lifestyle, some thought that he was foolish.
Rees's walk of faith would not–and should not–look like anyone else's; therefore, he should not compare his life with

My PE Experience
My PE experience I would like to think was different and special. For maybe 60% of the year, I was injured due to my sports. I had a torn quad
from soccer for 2 months and then a concussion from skiing for 5 months. Because of those injuries, I wasn't able to participate in class so that
gave me a lot of time to reflect, observe and learn from my peers from the view of an outsider. For once in my life, I was not caught up in
everything and got to take a step back and really look at what was going on. This I think helped me the most when forming my character. When I
had a torn quad in the fall I was allowed to come to the classes and watch. This was fun yet really frustrating for me because I love rope courses; I love
being in the air, the risk and, the freedom of it because you can never fall when you're in the air. This really helped me realize all of what I was and
should be thankful for in my life. I know I only had a torn quad but it helped me understand what it must be like to not be born with a limb or live
your life in a wheelchair or be born with an extra chromosome. It sort of empowered me to become nicer and adapt myself to those kids because I
could now see how strong their personalities must really be because they live life knowing that they can never do the things that I can do so easily
yet put on a great face and love their life. Another thing I was really clearly able to see now was how my classmates were treating each other or how
they all worked

Stress has become an integral part of our day to day life. And the worst thing is that if we don 't take corrective measures, we start remaining under
stress for longer durations which causes lot of health issues later on in life. So let 's try and understand what stress is and how ... Show more content on

What causes Stress
Let 's try to find out causes of stress in our lives. The biggest problem with us is that we are out on a mission to change others. We are busy criticizing
others, pinpointing faults in others unnecessarily without focussing on ourselves. We want others to become the way we want them to be. We believe
this will give us happiness. But actually this process gives us stress because we are unable to change others. Our actions are guided by our expectations
in return. And non fulfilment of expectations from relationships is biggest cause of stress and disappointment these days.
As parents, we want to control our children. We want our children to pursue a career of our choice. When our teen aged child wants to go out for
party or movies, we are the first one to lecture him. We want to influence him. And when our Children refuse to mend their ways, we feel stressed.
We feel stressed in relationships because as a lover, either we want to influence our partner or we want to please our partner. And either ways in all
situations, whenever we fail to achieve success, it causes immense stress.
After son 's marriage, mother feels stressed. The reason is she fears she will lose control over his son who had loved and followed her mother
unconditionally for nearly twenty five years.
The wife feels stressed because she feels that unless her mother–in–law stops controlling her son, how she will influence her husband.
The son feels stressed because he is trying to

Monster Persuasive Speech
When I say "monsters", I don't mean the ones that only come out at night and hide in the darkness, I'm talking about the monsters that reside in our
minds. The monsters that we deal with on a daily basis, and overwhelm us if we don't control them. We all have these monsters, no matter if they are
huge or minuscule, and how much they affect our lives. The monsters that I deal with are constantly driving me towards procrastination and anxiety,
and I must learn to overcome, or I will be consumed.
Procrastination, possibly the worst and most destructive monster I have. Procrastination is the reason for most of my problems, and I can never
overcome it. I live with it, and it is a part of me, so overcoming it is out of the question. The best I can do is deal with it. Procrastination was best
explained by Tim Urban, who compared the brain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anxiety is my second biggest monster, partly because it is a huge side–effect of procrastination. It is a constant stress in the back of the mind that only
says negative things about the future. A voice that tells the victim, "You won't get that paper done, you're going to fail." A voice that never stops and
tells the victim that they did a good job, because according to anxiety, I can only do wrong. It is anxiety that limits the victim from doing great things
because of the failures along the way, and the inability to forget the bad, and focus only on the good. The glass is always half–empty for anxiety,
which means it is almost impossible for the victim to think positively about the future. I compare anxiety to Voldemort in Harry Potter and the
Sorcerer's Stone, attached to Professor Quirrell's head, constantly whispering evil commands. Anxiety is a silent killer, and a hard one to deal with,
but it is easier to overcome than procrastination. It is my second worst monster because I can overcome anxiety in short spans, and I can halt the

Analysis Of Shrek: A Life In Live Theater
We'll see! Actually it's interesting. We treat it very much as a strategy of finding additional value in our catalog. For us, it's really mining a catalog
that exists that has been typically exploited in traditional, filmic ways, through television, DVD and all the normal forms of distribution. Finding value
in properties within your catalog that can find a life in live theater can rejuvenate a title and therefore help keep your catalog alive. That's the primary
motivation we had when we did it.
I did want to go back to the prior question you asked about why there is this proliferation of musicals, particularly, being derived from films. I think it
goes to the economics of theater production, particularly on Broadway today, which is so

Whereas movies are linear, you cannot do a split–screen in a movie convincingly, unless you do it as a gag, or peppered. In Shrek, one of the things
we're trying to do is simultaneity in action, because what the theater does is give you physical live space in which two things can happen at once, and
that's not what film does.49 It's recognizing what the specialties [of each medium] are.
And I really got that lesson not only with Millie,

but also when we did the negotiations for Shrek, which ranged from, literally, my daughter can sit on the
DVD case in the dining room table to get higher up, it's very useful [Laughter]–all the way down the line. What's very interesting is where we're
watching a mixing, a hybrid, of these worlds together. Now, what we're seeing is something that's going both ways. The despair I feel is that Caroline,
or Change51 has very little–we have no subsidized theater here. Therefore, you can't–I can't–compete with The Wedding Singer.

What Is Your Goals Essay
Goals are more than just things we want to achieve because goals create a roadmap for success. Goals remind us why we do what we do, why we
are where we are. Without goals, we would not have starting points and destinations to reach. My main goal is to live my life to the fullest with my
family and friends by my side. I also want to travel the world, get to experience other cultures and traditions, and meet new people. My final goal is
to live in a big house (in the future) preferably a two story, this would give me a lot of space for my stuff. To accomplish these goals, Ineed to be a
happy person, do good in school, get a great job and have a lot of money.

my family members have big houses and it's just awesome to be there I also want to pursue this goal because since I want to live my life to the

Las Vegas are not that expensive. If I lived in California, then I would need a lot of money because houses are double or triple the cost of houses here.
Most second–class families live with other second–class families in the same house for that reason. When I lived in California, my family and I lived

How Can Live The Good Life?
How to Live the Good Life Every individual has their personal definition of what the good life is to them. It is a high standard of living that is
associated with happiness and living a life worth living. This life will create endless joy and bliss for that person. To some, this might be living the
American Dream by having a blue–collar job and residing in the suburbs with a white picket fence. Every individual is different though and has a
different belief system. These various values can lead to different goals in life and habits. Philosophers Plato and Aristotle have their own views on the
good life. According to Plato, this life is lived by fulfilling the natural function that all things possess; whereas, for Aristotle, it is about... Show more

In The Trial and Death of Socrates, Plato says, "for the best possible state of your soul, as I say to you: Wealth does not bring about excellence, but
excellence makes wealth and everything else good for men, both individually and collectively" (Plato 154). This quote shows Plato's theory that
knowledge creates virtue and that virtues is learned through education. So we have to relearn what our soul forgot after entering our bodies. He
believes that our souls are pure and well–informed of right doing, but once it becomes a part of us, we have to reteach it what is right from wrong.
Aristotle believes that to live the good life one has to be intellectual and have good behaviors. He uses the word Eudaimonia to describe this theory
which is translated to happiness. By having these two qualities, one can become a virtuous person. To be a virtuous person they have satisfied
inclination that are rational desires and actually wants to do what is right, and does it. Therefore, developing healthy habits lead us toward
obtaining a better life. Whereas, picking bad habits makes us believe we are headed towards things that are good but may turn out to be bad for us.
By picking these respectable habits, one gets closer to being a virtuous person. He believes that what is good for one person is good for another. There
are three types of good, and these are bodily goods, external goods, and goods of the soul.

How Technology Affects Our Lives And The Pace Of Life Cycle
As technology increasingly impacts our lives and the pace of life quickens for consumers, businesses are also experiencing a similar effect with
product life cycles. Products like people, experience various stages of life as they are introduced (i.e. – born), grow, mature, and depart from the
consumer zeitgeist of their time in existence (Solomon, Marshall & Stuart, 2012). As a result, marketers must plan for and operate differently in each
stage of a product's life cycle to ensure the product remains relevant as long as possible. Therefore, when products are introduced marketers are often
required to educate the marketplace about the product to attract first time users, steadily cultivate additional sales, and recuperate research and
development costs. As sales grow and the product's velocity accelerates, the product transitions into the growth stage of the life cycle. When this occurs
marketers often increase advertising and begin to introduce variants of the original product to expand market segments, encourage brand loyalty, and
secure additional market share as competition increases.
Subsequently, when products transition to the next phase of the product life cycle, maturity, marketers are often forced to reduce prices to maintain
market share and transition their advertising campaigns to reminding customers about the advantages of their product and/or new features due to
increased competition (Levitt, 1965). Finally, as demand for a product diminishes despite the

What Is Your Goal In Life Essay
As a young woman in today's society, I am constantly told to "live in the now." This phrase is frequently said by my peers to me to reassure me that
despite feeling like I do not have my life completely together at the moment, that it is important to take a step back and enjoy the events going on in
my life currently, as well as to take decisions that I make one step at a time. It is fairly easy to conform to this mindset, largely because I am so young
and want to appreciate every moment that life has to offer. However, as I move forward into my adult life, I am beginning to realize the importance of
setting goals in my life. This is not only because I want my life to have a purpose so that I am not just fumbling throughout my college career with no
end goal in mind, but also because it is an amazing feelings to work so hard towards a goal and have all my hard work pay off in the end in order to
achieve said goals. Obtaining a goal–oriented mindset is undeniably paramount to my success not only in my college career but as well as my
personal life. Given this, I have compiled a list of goals for myself ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

am being overwhelmed by classwork and negativity, it will remain of the utmost importance to me to make sure that at the end of the day, I tried my
best despite any shortcomings. In the future, there is always going to be a voice in the back of my head reminding me of my goals, and how without
them, I am not using my full potential as a student or person in society. I know that my goals will be met successfully, and once they are I cannot wait

My Cultural Identity
When I think about my cultural identity, I compare my own identity to others. While my religion is Christianity, others religions may be different. They
may be Buddhist, or Muslim, or even Atheist. All these religions, and so many more, tie into different people's cultures. Other things such as traditions,
types of foods, and even the music we listen to, affect who we are. Our own cultures are the way we chose to live our lives. Whether it be the way
we treat others or the way we think, they all have enormous impacts in the way we live. I have many belongings and beliefs that impact my culture,
music is one of my belongings that has a key role in my life. Music is one of the few things that my whole family does together. I have a big family,
with 6 siblings, all of us living under the same roof. We don't get along all too well, but when we do it usually involves some type of
music.Whether it be strumming on our air guitars, singing the wrong lyrics to popular music, or even playing on our rusty piano. Sometimes
when we are cleaning I will take out my Jam Plus speaker and we will listen to music. We start singing at the top of our lungs and we start dancing
around our house like maniacs. We always end up laughing and smiling at one another. While this may be true for my family, I know of some
families where they listen to little to no music at all. Listening to no music to them would be completely normal, but to me and my family it is
almost foreign. Realizing how important music is to my family and my culture, I think I will start appreciating it a lot more. Another key
component of my culture would have to be art. Every since I was a little girl I remember seeing my dad's paintings and drawing hanging on the
walls of my home. I will always adore those pieces of artwork. When my siblings and I were younger my dad would draw little sketches for us, we
would sit at our dining room table and shout out different things we wanted him to draw for us. Once he was done with the little sketch we would all
fight about who would get the small notecard. I thought I would treasure those little sketches forever. Usually after a couple days I would misplace
that treasured item and I would never see it again. When I

Think about your life, as to how you want to live the rest of your life. If you decide to continue living the same life, no one can stop you nor help you.

I find it hard to honestly and articulately explain to my readers to help them understand why I had that presence of mind to do just that one thing right
(as in my willingness) while living such a wretched life. It has also been inexplicable to me all this while as well. One possible explanation could be

If I Had My Life To Live Over Tone

  • 1. If I Had My Life To Live Over Tone The poem if I had my life to live over, revolves around life and living. The poem is being spoken directly to another person. An older individual offering an adolescent advice about life readily comes to mind. I central idea in the poem is to live life. The poet uses tone, imagery, and device to show the central idea. In the poem, the poet uses tone to make the main idea more clear to the reader. When the poet writes, they do it in the regretful way, that is shown by the choice of words used in the poem. The speaker in the poem is talking to right person much younger than them, perhaps a grandchild. They are telling the young person that, if they had to live their life over again, they would do it differently. It's clear that the speaker regrets things that they did and didn't do. In the second line it says, " I dare to make more mistakes next time." By saying next time, the speaker is stating that if there was a next time, a second chance, they would lighten up and take more risks even if it was a mistake. Also many times throughout the poem the word "would" is used. When it says, " I would be sillier than I have been this trip" they are saying all of the things that they wished they did when they had the chance. This regretful tone, helps to make the central idea clear because the regret that the person... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Imagery, is used frequently in the poem. This is to help the reader develop a better understanding of the poem through visualization. In the last line it says, " I would pick more daisies", this is not a literal action that the speaker would do if they had their life to live over. They are saying that they would stop and take time to enjoy the little things in life. This could include picking daisies, or having a nice talk with someone. This image puts a small act of picking flowers in your head, although this is an unimportant action to your life, there is deep meaning behind ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. What Does Morrie Teach People To Live Life "Death is as natural as life, It's part of the deal I made." (Albom, 164) Tuesdays with Morrie is about an elderly man dying of ALS teaching people how to live. Morrie teaches people to live life through accepting death, showing love to loved ones before they're gone and that showing emotion is all right and important. First, Morrie teaches people to live life through accepting death. Morrie thinks people should accept death by reason of it's important to realize nobody lives forever. "Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live." (Albom, 82) My opinion on this topic is I do consider our own selves should accept death being if a person dies and you've already accepted the fact that everyone eventually dies it may not be as tough on you. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Morrie thinks that showing emotions is an important part of life due to holding it in isn't healthy for you. "Learn to detach." (Albom, 103) It's great to show your emotions or drop grudges since anyone at any moment could be gone and you'll regret telling that person how you actually felt about them. Last year on the Fourth of July I fought my best friend at the time for talking poorly of me and when I told her to stop and she didn't, we went without talking the whole summer until our friend Paige passed away, I told her I'd drop all the drama between us the reasoning for that is it was pointless to still be arguing over that when young people were being taken away from us at the blink of an eye. Lastly, Morrie teaches people that love goes on. Morrie thinks love is the way to stay alive. "Love is how you stay alive, even after you're gone. (Albom, 133) My opinion is that even if that person is gone if they're still people that love them they're not absolutely gone. When I was in the 8th grade another one of my friends Isabella Moralez committed suicide, it's almost 2 years that she's passed and how much I miss her hasn't changed since the day she left us. People still show her tons of love and she'll never be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He motivated me to practice many hours and showed me videos on how to improve. If it weren't for Ed, I wouldn't have accomplished my goal. I wouldn't have a black belt if it wasnt for his time and dedication training me. His love for taekwondo helped him strive to get his fourth degree black belt. It is one of the main reason that people want to come join America. A Lot of people move here insight of becoming a Very wealthy person and dreams of creating something amazing. • 5. Rough Draft: How To Live A Simple Happy Life Rough Draft– How to Live a Simple, Happy Life Fortune, fame, and success. These goals are what come to mind when one dreams of his or her future. However, there is one huge aspect missing–happiness. Happiness is one of the easiest yet most fulfilling goals to have in life. Additionally, when one is happy he or she is more likely to encounter fortune, fame, and success. But just how easy is it to be happy? First, one must understand the biological reasons for happiness. Second, one must take action. Bottom line, happiness is a choice that everyone must make. The Science Behind it The brain is responsible for the way we perceive and carry out life. In regards to happiness, there are four main neurotransmitters responsible of that level. Neurotransmitters are chemicals released by neurons that carry information from one neuron to another. Below is information on the four neurotransmitters and their roles in happiness. Dopamine is commonly known as "The Reward Molecule." It resides in the central nervous system and influences movement, learning, attention, and emotion. More specifically, dopamine is responsible for reward–driven behavior and pleasure seeking. Deprivation will not kill anyone directly. However, it will cause personality shifts (irritations, mood swings, microsleeps), hallucinations, and paranoia. • 6. Reflection Paper I used to be the person that went along with what everyone else was doing. I used to be the person that focused on basic values such as love, honesty, and confidence. Even though those are values that everyone is expected to have, I never fully understood what they were supposed to look like in everyday life. It was last year around September when my Church released the sign up sheet for a mission trip to Costa Rica. When I was 14–years–old, I attended a trip to Costa Rica with my church. I had the experience, but was younger and more immature at that time. The summer of 2015 was eye–opening. However, what I experienced never officially stuck with me. In early January I decided to sign up for the 2017 mission trip, in hopes that I would find myself there. It was bright and early when my youth group drove into the church parking lot. We unloaded our suitcases from our cars, and packed them into the van. Our flight was supposed to take off around 8:30 a.m. that morning. I remember feeling anxious on our way there. Questions raced through my mind nonstop such as, "What if I lose my passport? How do I communicate with them if I don't speak Spanish? What if they don't like me? What if I don't feel God?" When we arrived, all my worries faded almost immediately. I automatically got a feeling of a home away from home. All my memories from my first trip came flooding back. I had a happy heart, and a mind at peace. Later that week things began to get more serious and in depth. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. My Personal Experience : My Experience At School This year started atrociously and I was asceticism to the fact that my job was keeping me from doing my finest in school. I look back at it not with disappointment but with the recognition that I can't multi–task two major time–consuming activities. I was working 5–9pm, 6 days a week was physically and mentally exhausting I would always come to school tired. I would be tardy and or late every day in my 1st hour. At one point I was failing four classes. I would come home from work and be up until like 3 am. I was trying my best to keep up on like the essays but my ADHD made everything so hard. But it was so much I would end up stressing out. Semester one was just rough in general. I went to parent–teacher conferences and it opened my eyes but not enough for change. But by the end of conferences, my mom was crying because she wanted to know what was wrong. I wanted to tell her but I couldn't. I'd rather self–destruct myself than have everyone worried about me. Then I was to a point when I just didn't care what anyone else thought I just wanted to make money and blow it on materialistic things like clothes and shoes and things of those sorts. I was at a point where I literally let money control who I was and how I acted as a person. Finally came the day of the essay I really did try like my problem was I had all the information but didn't know how to put it on paper and I also struggled with focusing on writing the paper because the number of pages overwhelmed me and then ... • 8. Relationships In Life Of Pi And The Lives Of Animals Explore the relationship between humans and animals in Life of Pi and The Lives of Animals Introduction According to Martin Heidegger (2000), anthropocentrism functions as a dogmatic paradigm in which all aspects of the natural world are related to human beings. In this view, humanity is at the centre of all subsequent theoretical assumptions, creating a metanarrative that supports an entire system of thought. This way of understanding the world, however, is incompatible with the postmodern approach and its tendency to deconstruct apparent certainties, hierarchical divisions, and man's superiority and intellect. Consequently, embedded in ecocriticism, a postmodern understanding of the relationship between humans and animals is one of the most crucial challenges to traditional Western conceptions of man as a sovereign being. This essay is going to discuss this shift from a philosophy of a shared human essence to a more fragmented theoretical model, arguing that human and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Opposing to professor O'Hearne's philosophical belief that 'a process of creating abstract models' separates animals from intelligent humans (The Lives of Animals: 62), and criticising experiments in which animals fail to exemplify human–like behaviour, Costello compares this dogmatism of reason to what Agamben (2004) terms the anthropological machine. It is only within this ideological system of oppression that 'man is godlike, animals thinglike' (The Lives of Animals: 23), and therefore he can 'do anything [to animals] and get away with it' (The Lives of Animals: 35). This assumption, she claims, is only legitimate within the essentialist paradigm; outside of it, reason is only 'one tendency in human thought' that propagates animal degradation and suffering (The Lives of Animals: ... • 9. How Does Hamlet Live Or End His Life "To be or not to be, that is the question" is the famous line from Shakespeare's Hamlet. A question of whether Hamlet should continue to live or end his life then. John Keats takes a new spin off of this quote in his poem "Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art". The narrator is not simply contemplating living, but rather contemplating immortality and loneliness. He is considering whether he would want to live forever, but alone, or live only for a limited period of time with the one he loves. Ultimately, this is not a choice, but he ponders the question by thinking about a star, and how it sees all and lives forever, but yet is isolated from everything. But the narrator does come to a conclusion to this question: While life is temporary, and it is possible for him to focus on the time he does not have, he should enjoy the time he does have with the one he cares about. So, the narrator uses hyperbole, repetition, and a peaceful tone created... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As you read the poem, the diction is very soothing and many of the words carry a very blissful, calming connotation. Lines such as "Pillow'd upon my fair love's ripening breast," have many words that create the relaxing tone (10). Words like "Pillow'd" and "fair" are very tender, and though they don't necessarily have a concrete definition that readers think of, they hold an uplifting connotation. Take the line "To feel for ever its soft fall and swell" (11). The words "soft" and "swell" both have a general meaning to most people of positivity and goodness. In choosing to use such words, the author creates a peaceful tone that gives most readers a sensation of enjoyment and bliss. And so, the theme of slowing down and enjoying the quiet time you have with your love is supported, because the readers already have a general sense that this idea is what the poem is ... I live as God's walking poem, because Jesus and his glory live alive in me. I know I am set apart in a special way, unlike a tree, the sky, or any other of God's creation, and I let Christ pour out of me, right where I am because he has chosen me to live within. And even as my introverted self, I force myself to embrace the truth that "I experience God through you more fully than I can without you," because he lives within you too. I see God's glory revealed in the art of man's life and in the poetry of man's work, no matter who I'm with or what I'm doing, what's gone wrong or how little I'm paid. I choose to be alive in the presence of Christ, seeking to know people as Christ is poured out of them through their own uniqueness and individuality. (AMLW, p 178). And this is what ultimately helps me to continuously engage with others in my calling and my craft. There's no denying that at the very core of my being, God has made me with a deep desire to want to help others pull back the layers that suffocate the truth of who they really are and to encourage and release them to live as though they believe that they indeed have something to offer the world. (AMLW, p 17). In all that I do, I want others to know that God is an artist, not a technician, and that art is what happens when you dare to be who you really are! (AMLW, p 21). • 14. Rhetorical Essay Conclusion One of the main things Thoreau tries to highlight throughout the Conclusion is the importance of being one's self. He states, "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away." I believe that Thoreau is making a statement and sharing his belief that it is not one's job to follow in the footsteps of others. Thoreau wants each person to find what they are passionate about, and carve their own path, no matter how different or unique that passion may be in the eyes of society. I used them as a mask, throwing on whichever one I believed people would accept at the time. I was scared of what others may think if they uncovered and found out about the real me. Eventually I took a leap of faith and shed my final mask, which benefited me in numerous ways. As I began to express my true self and speak of the various interests I enjoyed most, I began to accumulate a new group of friends who accepted, and truly cared about the real me. I found that I could carry out much deeper and more meaningful conversations within my new friend group, without having to worry about the judgement that would typically come. I also found that when I spoke on my love for hunting, fishing, automobiles or any of my other hobbies and passions, I found that numerous people began to open up on their similar interests as well. Because of this experience, I began to realize that all it takes is one person to break down a social barrier, and that deep down everyone has interests and passions that they are holding back, and may just be waiting on someone else to open up ... • 16. How Does Epicurus Live A Good Life In the book, Greek and Roman Philosophy after Aristotle, a letter from Epicurus to Menoeceus is shared with us. (Saunders, 1966). Epicurus (341 – 270 BCE) was a Greek philosopher and also the father of Epicureanism. His beliefs are centered around one main theme: Death is nothing to fear because "when death is come, we are not" (Saunders, pages 49 and 50). He declares these as absolutes for all people on earth. It is through this brief exchange, I see that Epicurus is passionate that people live a good life and they live it to the fullest possible potential, devoid of pain and fear, while achieving pleasure. While his thoughts on life and, ultimately, death seem to evolve throughout his letter, we begin to see that they contain some conditions and exceptions. It is because of these that I do not fully agree with the Epicurean way. Epicurus states that death is nothing to us. He goes on to say that since death is the cessation of life and our souls die when our physical body dies, we should not bother ourselves with thoughts of death. (Saunders, page 50). The action of dying will never be experienced because all experience ceases upon the very occurrence of death. We should not cause ourselves anxiety by fearing what we will never take part in. Everybody wants to live the American life with all the latest technology and the nicest cars, but no one wants to acknowledge what it takes to live that pampered life. I think that sometimes we need to step back and think about if we need all the newest technology life has to provide. I believe that Thoreau is trying to prove to people that you don't have to have all the technology life has to provide to be happy in life. Thoreau wanted to show people that there was a better life to live by being modest rather than having an abundance of surplus. Thoreau argues that we need to live in modesty, how we need to have pride in doing certain things by ourselves, and by saying that we have more power than the things that we use in everyday life. "Men think that it is essential that the Nation have commerce, and export ice, and talk through a telegraph, and ride thirty miles an hour...". • 19. Why Pets Help Kids Live A Happy Life Why Pets Help Kids Live a Happy Life An author from Parents Magazine, Bill Strickland, interviewed Gail F. Melson, PhD, professor emeritus of developmental studies at Purdue University and the author of Why the Wild Things Are: Animals in the Lives of Children. Melson states, "Overall, an estimated four in ten children begin life in a family with domestic animals, and as many as ninety percent of all kids live with a pet at some point during their childhood." (Strickland) Those are decent statistics since having a pet growing up has many positive effects. Children who live with pets growing up become more responsible, learn lessons about life, and tend to live a healthier childhood. A child does not have many major responsibilities. Things such as brushing their teeth, doing the dishes, and doing their homework are as severe as a child's responsibilities get. Those type of responsibilities do not have major immediate consequences if they are not done. Owning a pet creates a lot more responsibility. When children are the sole provider for a pet they learn that they need to take care of their pet. Things such as feeding, bathing, and spending time with a pet is something that helps build a child's responsibility. A child understands what it feels like to be hungry. Because they know that feeling, they do not want a pet to feel the same. They learn that they are responsible for keeping their pet fed or their pet will go hungry. • 20. What Does It Mean You Live A Life Of Meaning And Purpose?... What does it mean to live a life of meaning and purpose? We have examined this question through at least five different authors, in different time periods, and through different ideas. However, the common idea has remained the same, have faith in God. For a human to live a life of meaning and purpose he must understand the truths of the natural world and the differences between what is good and evil. Jesus set an example for humans in his stories written by Matthew by displaying the ultimate faith in God and showing what they faith can do onto the people. Even when that faith is tested when Jesus is summoned to be put to death, he believes our God will not leave him on that cross forever. By spreading the word of the lord and by practicing his teachings religiously his entire life, Jesus has faith that this is not the ultimate end and that there is a better life with God. This fundamental question is explored throughout all of the readings of Matthew from the bible. The story from the very beginning displays how important each human being is by displaying Jesus' lineage to us. In doing so, we are able to see that the savior of our world and the Son of God could not have come to be if it weren't for the peasants and Kings of generations before him. Every life means something, but not every life has meaning. In other words, one must possess the faith of God in his actions in life and follow his way of life to be living a life of meaning and purpose. This is evident in chapter ... If you agreed to live the hidden life for a period of time and then were later presented with the option of regaining the spotlight in ministry, which lifestyle would you choose? Rees Howells was faced with these very decisions while his ministry was thriving. As Rees Howells grew in his relationship with Jesus, Rees began to remove his cap when he prayed because he consistently felt the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit with him. Additionally, in the same manner that Rees brought others' needs before the Throne, Jesus also represents us before our Father as our Intercessor. The second reason that Rees should have continued to live a hidden life is that he spent more time with Jesus. When Rees had decided to continue living in the secret place, the Holy Spirit invited him to spend his entire days sitting in God's presence and talking with Him. Our actions are guided by our expectations in return. And non fulfilment of expectations from relationships is biggest cause of stress and disappointment these days. As parents, we want to control our children. We want our children to pursue a career of our choice. When our teen aged child wants to go out for party or movies, we are the first one to lecture him. We want to influence him. And when our Children refuse to mend their ways, we feel stressed. We feel stressed in relationships because as a lover, either we want to influence our partner or we want to please our partner. And either ways in all situations, whenever we fail to achieve success, it causes immense stress. After son 's marriage, mother feels stressed. The reason is she fears she will lose control over his son who had loved and followed her mother unconditionally for nearly twenty five years. He believes that our souls are pure and well–informed of right doing, but once it becomes a part of us, we have to reteach it what is right from wrong. Therefore, developing healthy habits lead us toward obtaining a better life. Whereas, picking bad habits makes us believe we are headed towards things that are good but may turn out to be bad for us. • 35. How Technology Affects Our Lives And The Pace Of Life Cycle As technology increasingly impacts our lives and the pace of life quickens for consumers, businesses are also experiencing a similar effect with product life cycles. Products like people, experience various stages of life as they are introduced (i.e. – born), grow, mature, and depart from the consumer zeitgeist of their time in existence (Solomon, Marshall & Stuart, 2012). As a result, marketers must plan for and operate differently in each stage of a product's life cycle to ensure the product remains relevant as long as possible. Therefore, when products are introduced marketers are often required to educate the marketplace about the product to attract first time users, steadily cultivate additional sales, and recuperate research and development costs. As sales grow and the product's velocity accelerates, the product transitions into the growth stage of the life cycle. When this occurs marketers often increase advertising and begin to introduce variants of the original product to expand market segments, encourage brand loyalty, and secure additional market share as competition increases. Subsequently, when products transition to the next phase of the product life cycle, maturity, marketers are often forced to reduce prices to maintain market share and transition their advertising campaigns to reminding customers about the advantages of their product and/or new features due to increased competition (Levitt, 1965). Finally, as demand for a product diminishes despite the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. What Is Your Goal In Life Essay As a young woman in today's society, I am constantly told to "live in the now." This phrase is frequently said by my peers to me to reassure me that despite feeling like I do not have my life completely together at the moment, that it is important to take a step back and enjoy the events going on in my life currently, as well as to take decisions that I make one step at a time. It is fairly easy to conform to this mindset, largely because I am so young and want to appreciate every moment that life has to offer. However, as I move forward into my adult life, I am beginning to realize the importance of setting goals in my life. This is not only because I want my life to have a purpose so that I am not just fumbling throughout my college career with no end goal in mind, but also because it is an amazing feelings to work so hard towards a goal and have all my hard work pay off in the end in order to achieve said goals. Obtaining a goal–oriented mindset is undeniably paramount to my success not only in my college career but as well as my personal life. Given this, I have compiled a list of goals for myself ... • 38. My Cultural Identity When I think about my cultural identity, I compare my own identity to others. While my religion is Christianity, others religions may be different. They may be Buddhist, or Muslim, or even Atheist. All these religions, and so many more, tie into different people's cultures. Other things such as traditions, types of foods, and even the music we listen to, affect who we are. Our own cultures are the way we chose to live our lives. Whether it be the way we treat others or the way we think, they all have enormous impacts in the way we live. I have many belongings and beliefs that impact my culture, music is one of my belongings that has a key role in my life. Music is one of the few things that my whole family does together. I have a big family, with 6 siblings, all of us living under the same roof. We don't get along all too well, but when we do it usually involves some type of music.Whether it be strumming on our air guitars, singing the wrong lyrics to popular music, or even playing on our rusty piano. Sometimes when we are cleaning I will take out my Jam Plus speaker and we will listen to music. We start singing at the top of our lungs and we start dancing around our house like maniacs. We always end up laughing and smiling at one another. While this may be true for my family, I know of some families where they listen to little to no music at all. Listening to no music to them would be completely normal, but to me and my family it is almost foreign. Realizing how important music is to my family and my culture, I think I will start appreciating it a lot more. Another key component of my culture would have to be art. Every since I was a little girl I remember seeing my dad's paintings and drawing hanging on the walls of my home. I will always adore those pieces of artwork. When my siblings and I were younger my dad would draw little sketches for us, we would sit at our dining room table and shout out different things we wanted him to draw for us. Once he was done with the little sketch we would all fight about who would get the small notecard. I thought I would treasure those little sketches forever. Usually after a couple days I would misplace that treasured item and I would never see it again. When I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Personal Narrative: What It Means To Live The Rest Of Your... Think about your life, as to how you want to live the rest of your life. If you decide to continue living the same life, no one can stop you nor help you. But if you are sincere to start a new life; you are willing to give all your effort to change into a different person, help is always available. Believe me, you are not beyond help. I find it hard to honestly and articulately explain to my readers to help them understand why I had that presence of mind to do just that one thing right (as in my willingness) while living such a wretched life. It has also been inexplicable to me all this while as well. One possible explanation could be my conscience was speaking to me or a downtrodden addict's plead to be released from such a life. But one thing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
