This document provides steps to hack the registration of Internet Download Manager (IDM) software to make it a full lifetime version. It involves editing the computer's host file to redirect registration servers to localhost. Specific lines of code are added to block communication with registration servers. After making the host file changes, registering IDM again will now accept any serial key and not expire the registration. This allows full lifetime use of IDM without restrictions.

1. Step-3 : Enter your Name(Any Name), Last Name, Email ID and in Serial Key paste
any key from the following –>

And click on ok to register. You also can enter any key from your side. Means
you have to enter wrong key, so enter anything
Step-4: After your click ok, it will show an error message that you have
registered IDM using fake serial key and IDM will exit. Now here the hack
starts.
Step-5 : Now GoTo –Computer –> C:(Drive) –>Windows –> System32 –> drivers –>
etc–. Else in window paste it C:WindowsSystem32driversetc .. Xp and vista
user can go to this directory through click on start –> run and paste this
notepad %windir%system32driversetchosts ..
In etc directory there is a host file available. Edit this host file by using
notepad.
(Also can download this host file, right click here and save this file into your
computer, then delete host file from etc folder and paste this download host
file in etc folder–Hope you getting my point, and if your browser save this file
hosts.htm then please remove .htm, this file should be without extension)
Note : you must login through admin.
Step-7 : Now a notepad file appears something like this as shown below:
Now copy the below lines of code and add to hosts file as shown above image

After adding this, save notepad file and then exit from here.
Note : In windows vista and windows 7, due to security reason you cannot make
changes in host file. Its not allow you to save changes in file. Do not worry,
also here is a solution for that. you have to do simple thing that copy host
file and paste it into another drive or on desktop. Now, rename it as host.txt .
Make change in this file (see step-7) and save it as host.txt . Now, goto
computer and click on tools tab at the top of window,click on folder options and
select view tab, here unmark –Hide extension for know file types– and click ok.
Now remove .txt from you host file which is on desktop. Now from original
location of host file (C:WindowsSystem32driversetc), delete host file. Copy
host file from the desktop and paste it into original location of host file
(C:WindowsSystem32driversetc). Thats all ..

2. Step-8 : Now start your Internet Download Manager (IDM), select it from all
programs. If it again show error message that you have registered IDM using fake
serial key, click ok. Again a registration box will open, Again enter your
Name(Any Name), Last Name, Email ID and in Serial Key from above keys.
Now start your Internet download manager, and now your IDM has been converted to
full version and specially when you update next time, your registration will not
expire.
That means it will remain full version for life time and you can update it
without any problem in future.
