Topic Idea’s
 University Fee’s
 Racism
 Healthy Eating
 Crime and Causes
 Social networks
 Diversity in UK
Our group then decided we should
shorten the list of topics for our
documentary depending on how
confident we were for each one.
These were the final three:
• University Fee’s
• Diversity
• Crime and Causes
University Fee’s – what we can do
 Sources of Interviews: College students, A2 students, university
students and both staff from college/university if possible. We
can also create a vox pop and ask students the issue
concerning universities.
 Background Footage: Students filling in UCAS Applications,
Students walking to college & universities.
 Research Sources: Sources from internet. Statistics of how much
students go to university, how much they pay and if they get in
debt, by how much.
Possible Problems: Might be difficult to arrange interviews with
university students and staff. Will be hard to find specific sources
and statistics to back up our points.
Diversity – What we can do
 Sources of interviews: College students and staff,
interview head teach and ask his opinion on the topic.
 Background footage: College site, people walking in
touchwood.
 Research sources: We can get statistics from college
illustrating the different ethnic background of students
to denote diversity.
Possible Problems: Hard to get a range of research and
statistic.
Crime and Causes – Chosen topic
 Sources of interviews: Police, Staff in college, past
victims or criminals if possible, Can also make a vox pop
asking students the causes of crime.
 Background footage: Police station, police cars driving
with siren on, people walking in touchwood.
 Research sources: research and stats from police,
internet to find the latest crime rates, we can also hand
out a questionnaire in college to find our own research.
Possible problems: Some victims or criminals may not want to be
interviewed , might be hard to get certain background footage,
e.g. police chase.
Note: we also decided to pick a specific crime which was
knife crime as this topic is really popular amongst young
people so finding information would be easier
