Lady Sakhe is the epitome of a rocking girl, very professional and on point. The 24 year old dj
rocks the gigs in and around Johannesburg like no one's business. Lady Sakhe specializes in Deep
House Sounds which gets regulars into a frenzy at parties, at clubs, at up market taverns and all
over Gauteng every time she is behind the decks.
This has created an opportunity for her to play at all types of gigs and at places such as Tshwane
University of Technology, The Bank and Capital in Rosebank, Bar 9 in Midrand, Club Shoosh in
Midrand, Zambezi Lounge, now called Kalawa Jazzmee Lounge, she’s also played on different
radio stations such as Yfm and Jozi fm and on Channel O. METRO FM listeners were also exposed
to Lady Sakhe’s fine deep house sounds when she was invited as a guest on The Urban Beat (Fri &
Sat 10pm-1am) show hosted by ZEAL, Christos and Vinny Da Vinci.
She is also a resident and the only lady DJ featured every Sunday’s at the famous Joe’s Life Style
Butchery in Alexandra Township. Every Sunday big name DJ’s are featured at Joe’s and Lady
Sakhe plays alongside them. She has played alongside International and South Africa’s biggest
names in the deejaying sphere. Amongst other names to mention but the few: DJ Fresh, Black
Coffee, DJ Vinny Da Vinci, Christos, Glen Lewis, Dj Ganyani, Oskido, Martin East, Rocco, Ralf Galm
and Manoo.
Lady Sakhe has been spinning the decks for 5 years she found love for deejaying in 2004 during
her school years and she knew she had to first break some ground by entering an industry
dominated by men she did and never looked back ever since. The sista is a proud self-taught DJ
that learned more about deejaying through spending time in Rosebank at a place called spinout
which is in Johannesburg. Lady Sakhe has also played outside of Johannesburg, in Bloemfontein
and in Polokwane, where she was invited to play at the ANC Youth League’s party in December
2009.
