3. What this is all about
• Think about this: Why so heavy when it could be
done with just 1kg?
• What shoots into your mind when that statement is
said?
• Here is the answer…….
4. This is what we mean
• Our idea the ibook is there to make life a tad easier.
• The ibook is on the boarder line of books and ipads or tablets.
There are just two applications, one application is to take
notes and the other is to download books at any time and any
type all just for free!!! These work by solar power.
• The ibook is designed for students of any age and for their
teachers.
5. SWOT-Analysis
Advantages
• Think about all those times when your schoolbag was really heavy
and your bag would hurt, there is no more of that with the ibook
because every book is downloaded.
• The ibook is only for books and to write notes, so in class the
students are not distracted and playing a game or on the internet
because it is only for books and notes.
• Students can never ever forget their books ever again.
• Their homeworks can be also done on the ibook because it has
multiple formats and settings depending on the homework.
• Notes can be sent by the teachers to the students easily.
6. SWOT-Analysis
Disadvantages
• They might take long to charge up especially since they are solar power
they would need a lot of sunlight and if it is raining all day they would not
charge.
• The school will provide ibooks free of charge to all students because not
all students can afford it however should this equipment fall and damage
the school or the student might incur the cost.
• They could be at a high price and might make it unaffordable.
7. Costs-Analysis
• Ipads are roughly €700 and tablets start from €200 and go up to
€700.
• So if you buy one it would be very expensive but since the ibook
only consists of 2 applications then it should be less and come up to
an estimate of €400 still expensive but better.
• There would be some form of costs regarding the applications
although they are free the price of the ipad or tablet would be
higher because of this.
8. Local Competition
• Kindle: A tablet used for reading books
• Wattpad: An application for reading books.
• All of the above are also all free which makes an even bigger
competition.
9. Give us feedback about what you
think.
• What did you think?
• Would you rather have books or ibooks?!!
Hope you enjoyed our presentation, our idea
and we hope that we have got you interested
and convinced about the the future of books
and technology combined together the ibook.
