This document discusses best practices for running Scrum in distributed teams. It provides four "DON'Ts" for being successful with distributed Scrum: 1) Don't do distributed Scrum without accounting for differences from co-located Scrum, 2) Don't think distributed Scrum is the same as co-located Scrum, 3) Don't start distributed Scrum projects with inexperienced "Scrum Juniors", and 4) Don't start distributed Scrum without collaborative tools. Following these DON'Ts helps reduce risks, empower teams, improve communication and transparency, and deliver more business value to customers.
