This is a short story I wrote about 2 years ago and I still love reading it and sharing it with others. This story is about a troubled teen who faces real life problems everyday and struggles to fight them, to find out if she does, give it a read. It is very dramatic and suspenseful. I'm sure you'll enjoy it very much so.
Six stories about six different teenagers:
Pamela - Will she survive her date with a stranger?
Rachel - She won't let anything stop her from going to the prom, not even a baby.
Ryan - He finally got a date with one of the most popular girls in school, but will she give him what he's expecting to get from her?
Andrea - People keep talking about her and Jerry which is making her feel very uncomfortable. Should she sacrifice her friendship to end the gossip?
Judy - Bob bosses her around and treats her like dirt. Should she stay with him or find someone new?
Whitney - Jerome has been taking her for granted and she's sick of it. She found someone else who treats her better, but will it last?
Find out what happens to these six teenagers in these amazing short stories.
Photography by Jonathan Torgovnik and Heather McClintock. During the 1994 genocide, hundreds of thousands of Rwandan women were subjected to massive sexual violence by members of the infamous Hutu militia groups, known as the Interhamwe. Among the most isolated survivors are women who have borne children as a result of those rapes. Due to the stigma of rape and “having a child of the militia,” the women’s communities and few surviving relatives have largely shunned them. Intended Consequences: Genocide Mothers; Children of Rape brings together Jonathan Torgovnik’s remarkable portraits of these women and children, and their harrowing first-hand testimonies.Originally from Vermont, Heather McClintock was seeking a deeper, more intimate connection to humanity and the commonalities of our existence. She started documenting the struggles of the Acholi tribe of Northern Uganda in 2006. They are caught in the middle of a complex civil war. Countless numbers have been brutalized and children abducted from the tribe make up about 90% of the rebel soldiers. Heather states that her images only touch on the Acholi’s unimaginable suffering and it is her hope that the photographs will underscore this complicated and imperfect life we all share. She hopes the viewers will lend compassion to all brave survivors of conflict.

He Brought His Bimbo Wh*re To MY HOUSE For Christmas...
And I Knew I'd End Up In Jail or the Grave... Unless I Did Something Drastic To Change My Life
Hi, my name is Angela Carter.
What I'm about to share with you is hands down the most humiliating moment of my life.
It was the first Christmas after my divorce.
And I can still feel the heat of my face blazing firetruck red.
How I felt frozen in my shame.
I had spent my entire life manifesting the perfect life for everyone else...
But completely ignored myself in the process.
I never felt like I had the time or energy - for ME.
Even though I'd actively participated in every moment of the creation of my life...
I just didn't see myself in it anymore.

The writer has completed brainstorming and now has a rough draft. There is a temporary sigh of relief and then…revising begins. Revising is the step in the Writing Process where the author reflects on his or her rough draft and strives to make it better. This PowerPoint details specific techniques to target when revising rough drafts. Personal writing should evoke emotional responses and make readers feel connected to the author. This can be done through thoughtful, well-developed snapshots, appropriate thoughtshots. as well as the use of dialogue. Examples are provided that show just how powerful these revisions can be when added to one’s rough draft.

Face the Truth
I have always wanted to be person who can take charge of many people even since primary school. However, being a competent leader is not easy, different kinds of situations might happen all the time and you have to handle it appropriately. This type of ability depends on a person’s experience and intelligence. Certainly, a leader will makes mistake, so does everybody else, but he has to have the courage to admit, face it and find a way to solve it. People should learn to face their real selves, the truth bravely and release themselves at the right time. While, when I was 13 years old, I was not ready to be a successful leader at all.
The memorable event happened on a typical school day before summer vacation, and the weather was very hot. As usual, my primary school asks each student to take a nap after lunchtime in summer time and sometimes the teacher would let student form grade five or six to take charge students in grade one or two. On that day, as a sixth grade student, my teacher told me to look after a second grade class during naptime. I was so excited after I know this and could not wait to meet these students.
That was my first time to being a “guard”, and the chaotic scene was different from what I imaged. Our naptime starts on twelve o’clock at noon everyday, I prepared myself some books and left my classroom at 11:55 a.m. Before I arrived there, I thought my job was just sitting in the front of the classroom, looking outside view or maybe reading my books when I feel boring. Contrary to expectation, everything was totally opposite when I stood at the door – students were chasing around each other, talking loudly and looked like they didn’t hear the bell rang and had no idea it was time to be quiet and relax. Few seconds later, I heavily knocked on the door with my book and waited them to notice me. As expected, they indeed became quiet and returned to their seats.
“Hun, it works! Maybe I should continue to be strong and let them be afraid of me,” I thought. Then, I walked straight to the platform and sat next to it. The naptime was from twelve o’clock to one o’clock in the afternoon, but quietness only last no more than five minutes. Soon, some students in the back started whispering, passing notes and disturbing others. I remained at the seat until their noise got louder and louder. I couldn’t endure any more and I shouted out “Be quiet” instantly without the slightest bit of hesitation. Suddenly, everything went silent except the thrum of the fans in the classroom wall and the chirp of grasshoppers hidden in the bushes.
Soon after, I realized taking care of young kids was not an easy task. You never know what they are going to do in next second, so no one should ever underestimate children’s strength. After I used my loudest voice to suppress these students, I thought they would behave. While, the fact proved my thought was wrong again. A boy with a taper .

He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Renewed in Grace
2. 2
The Dhamma activities of our local Buddhist Association
started way back in 1987. I remember the first time I
‘cheated’ Death was in the year 1989. I remember that
evening very well. A foreign monk was invited to give a
Dhamma talk at the premises of our Buddhist Association, a
rented shop lot not far from my house in a housing estate. It
was around 7.00 pm and I was getting ready to go and open
the Association door and do some preparation work to ensure
that the Dhamma talk could proceed smoothly at the
scheduled time, which was 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm. It had
started raining about an hour earlier. When I started out with
my motor bike, the rain had faded into a mere drizzle. Dusk
had just set in and the sky was gradually turning dark. As I
was riding along the main road on my way to the Association,
I noticed that the road was still wet and I rode steadily at
about 30 mph. Even then, I did not realize that there was a
pothole ahead of me. It was covered with water. All of a
sudden, my motor bike was over it and I lost control and was
thrown off my bike. The next thing I knew, I was sitting right
in the middle of the road with my bike lying on one side a
distance away from me. When I looked ahead I could see the
headlamps of the oncoming vehicles. “Oh no,” I thought.
“This would be my end.” My mind was filled with floods of
thoughts coming and going at tremendous speeds, probably
faster than the speed of light. And the vehicles were heading
in my direction! One thought dominated my mind: “Oh, I will
not be able to bring the group of Buddhist friends for a
meditation retreat tomorrow at the Malaysian Buddhist
Meditation Center (MBMC) in Penang.”
PBHP in 1989
3. 3
Everything happened so fast. The next thing I realized was
that the oncoming vehicles did not go straight over me or my
leg. Instead a few went by my side and a few parked along
the road side and came over to help me. I apologized for
blocking the road and told them that it was my fault … not
noticing the pothole and losing control of my bike. By then, a
crowd had gathered around and two of my students happened
to come by. One student pushed my bike to my home, which
was just a few hundred meters away. The other student
fetched me back on his motor bike. I did not suffer any major
injuries… only some bruises on my hands and knees. On
reaching home, I was given some first aid treatment for my
bruises after which I went for the Dhamma talk at our
Buddhist Association. I remember the Dhamma talk pertained
to the practice of Metta Bhavana, the Meditation on Loving-
Kindness. It was really inspiring. The following day I took
my group of Dhamma friends for the 8-day meditation retreat
at the MBMC in Penang. I remember some friends visited me
after I had returned from Penang. They asked about the motor
accident I had and some passed remarks such as the
following: “How come an accident happened to you when
you were on the way to do a GOOD thing?” “This Law of
Kamma is not fair, isn’t it? The BAD people should be
getting the accidents!” “ How can you be punished like this?”
Deep down in my heart I felt kind of sad that my friends did
not understand the Dhamma. I told my friends, “I am in a way
blessed. You know, things could have been terrible … a
vehicle could have rolled over me or one of my legs could
have been severed. My injuries were so light…mere bruises.”
MBMC
4. 4
A couple of weeks later, along the same road a lady motor
cyclist was killed in a road accident quite similar to the one I
had earlier met with. Her motor bike went into a pothole, she
lost control of the vehicle, was thrown on to the road and a
lorry went over her. When I learnt of this, I thought to myself,
“My life could have ended that way … I was really ‘lucky’.
Luck, Kamma, Divine intervention? Honestly I don’t know.
But my confidence in the Dhamma grows stronger each day.
The second time I cheated death was in 1991 when I was in
Beijing, China on a short holiday. It happened around noon in
a shopping center in Beijing. I never liked shopping but we
were on a group tour and this was part of the itinerary and I
had to tag along. I was going down the stairs from the second
floor to the first floor of the shopping center. There was a
chip in one of the steps of the stairs and I had not noticed it. I
stepped on it, missed a step and lost control. I went hurtling
down the long stairs at a great speed … it was most
frightening. I noticed that at the end of the stairs, some meters
from the last step stood a huge jade ship (I learnt later that it
cost about half a million ringgit) with so many pointed and
jagged parts… and I was heading towards it at an
uncontrollable speed. I just could not brake and my mind was
again flooded with thoughts that flashed by at incredible
speeds. I thought that this would certainly be the end for
me … Strangely, as I reached the end of the stairs, the
direction of my ‘roller-coaster ride’ changed and I found
myself moving towards my left instead of heading head-on
for the jade ship! What a relief!
Beijing Shopping Emporium
5. 5
But then, when I looked in front of me, I found that I was
now heading for a rectangular pillar with sharp edges. Fear
overwhelmed me. The thought of crashing with tremendous
impact my unprotected head against a concrete pillar was
indeed terrible. I tried to ‘brake’ and stop but I just could not.
The momentum was unbelievable. Another incredible thing
happened… just about one foot from the pillar, I suddenly
stopped, still sitting down on the floor. The force that caused
the stop did not come from me…I just stopped and till today I
don’t know how or why. By the time I found myself sitting
still on the floor, a group of concerned people, including
some staff members of the shopping center, had gathered
round me. They were kind and helped me back to my feet. I
told them I was okay, still intact. My buttocks hurt just a little
but other than that I was perfectly alright.
So once again, I had ‘cheated death’. Every time I think of
that incident I still shudder at the memory. But reflection on it
has helped me realize certain things of the Dhamma. I had
been very ‘lucky’ and blessed. Was it due to chance that I
escaped death or tragic injuries? But then, wasn’t it Albert
Einstein who once said “God does not play dice with the
Universe …”
Deep down inside me, I know that nothing ever happens
without a cause or causes. Was my ‘escape’ from tragedy due
to supportive Kamma, help from Devas …? Again, honestly,
I don’t know. But I do know that my life must be based on
‘Doing Good, Avoiding Evil and Purifying the Mind’.
6. 6
My Reflections
* Life is Uncertain. Death is Certain. The point of Death is
uncertain . The mode of Death is uncertain.
* Anicca or Impermanence is a Truth of conditioned life. No
one can know how the future is going to turn out for him.
And it’s futile to regret, feel remorse or guilt over the past.
The past is dead and gone. What matters is the Present , The
Now … Learn from mistakes made and move on doing all the
good we can when we still CAN.
* Noble ones having learnt, understood, contemplated upon,
practiced and realized much Dhamma know how to live
mindfully, righteously and wisely. They’ll have more peace.
* Realize that what matters most ultimately for everybody is
just this:
1 The Kamma that we make in life
2 The Dhamma we have practiced and realized
The above are our true possessions that follow us from life to
life.
