Sarah Taylor completed a final assignment for a Design Action Thinking Lab. I am a white hat person
- 1. I am Samrina Zahid and I am aWHITE HatPerson Black Hatnever worked for me. I am aWhite Hatperson most of the times. I can easily find logic in everything around. It is quite understandable if a person can’t sleep due to some fear there must be some logic behind it, andthere must be some solution to it. I like to work while wearing Yellow Hat. I like being positive. This makes my work more interesting for me. During my last group assignment of 100 solutions of sleeplessness, I knew that finding hundred solutions will never be impossible. Guess what, it wasn’t. It seemed far from reach and next to impossible before starting but once I started, I went with the flow and nailed it quite easily in the end, that too well within the given timeline.
- 2. When it is required, I wear Green Hat aswell to generate new ideas and solutions to problems. Most of the time in last assignment I was wearing Green hat to generate new solutions for sleeplessness. Wearing Red Hat is not that easy for me.As I am logical person I cannot just make decisions on my intuitions easily.For some reason my intuition never works much for me,and it didn’t workfor me in the last assignment aswell. Sometimes I can wear Blue Hat,but it’s not that easy for me to follow defined processes.I like adding new things with my own requirements. In the Last assignment there wasn’t any hard and fast rule for giving 100 solutions for sleeplessness. Otherwise, for a person like me it’s hard to work with Blue Hat on.
- 3. Black Hatis not my type at all.I am a positive thinker and I look for opportunities in every aspect of life.I find it hard to find which solution “won’t” work. Instead of negating all thoughts I prefer thinking over each and every idea that comes to the mind of team members I worked with.
