Word Study (Spelling) options
Words of
the Week

Type your words on the computer.
You may use different fonts, font
size, colors, etc.
Hide the words in a drawing or scene.
Dot Out the Word:
First, dot out a letter of the word. Next,
trace the letter. Keep doing it until you are
finished with the whole word. Repeat with all
spelling words on your list.
Write your words in rice, shaving
cream, bathtub foam, or any other
item approved by a family member.
Write your words using one color for vowels
and another color for consonants.
Word Jumble:
Scramble your words and write the correct
spelling next to each scrambled word.
Write a rhyming poem using all words. Write a riddle sentence for each word.
Write each word in special letters (bubbly,
squiggly, block, etc)
