The Saudi criminal laws only require that the accused shall give his personal information to the investigator and sign the report that contains such information. The accused of crimes is not always a criminal or the one who really commits the crime where a person is innocent until proven guilty. Therefore, investigators prior to interrogation should notify the accused that he has right to remain silent and anything he says will be used against him in court. Also, they should inform him that he has a right to an attorney and if he is indigent, the government is going to pay for his lawyer.

Article 33 of the Law of Criminal Procedure states:

In all cases, the person under arrest shall not be detained for more than 24 hours, except pursuant to a written order from the investigator.
No person shall be arrested, searched and detained or imprisoned except in cases provided by law.... And it is prohibited to harm the arrested, whether physically or mentally. Similarly, it is prohibited to subject anyone to torture or degrading treatment. In cases where there is no obvious violation of the law, no one shall be arrested or detained except by order of the competent authority. The police must hear the testimony of the accused immediately, and if the police find enough evidence to charge the individual, they must send the individual to an investigator, along with their report, within 24 hours. The Law of Criminal Procedure is keen to maintain the rights of the accused during arrest. Specifically, Article 36, provides:

Accused of crimes needs some protection to his rights because he is innocent until proven guilty. Without any minor doubt that the accused person will be in his weakest situation during accusation and interrogation.
Informing the Accused of Crime of his Right
the Saudi criminal system does not have any requirements to informing the Accused of Crime of his Rights. The Saudi criminal laws only require that the accused shall give his personal information to the investigator and sign the report that contains such information. The Saudi legislator should inform suspects about their rights to avoid self-incrimination. The accused of crimes is not always a criminal or the one who really commits the crime where a person is innocent until proven guilty. Therefore, investigators prior to interrogation should notify the accused that he has right to remain silent and anything he says will be used against him in court. Also, they should inform him that he has a right to an attorney and if he is indigent, the government is going to pay for his lawyer.
the defendant has the right to be aware of the offending charge. The right of the accused to see the case file is important because it informs the accused of the charge or counts against him or her prior to interrogation. Viewing the evidence against the accused is important because it helps in preparing an effective defense. Article 101 of the Law of Criminal Procedure requires the investigator inform the accused of the charge he or she is facing.
Rights During an Arrest
Article 33 of the Law of Criminal Procedure states:
Where the crime is in the process of commission, the criminal investigation officer shall arrest the suspect present at the scene of the crime where there is sufficient evidence for his implication. A record of that shall be made and the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution shall be immediately notified. In all cases, the person under arrest shall not be detained for more than 24 hours, except pursuant to a written order from the investigator.
No person shall be arrested, searched and detained or imprisoned except in cases provided by law.... And it is prohibited to harm the arrested, whether physically or mentally. Similarly, it is prohibited to subject anyone to torture or degrading treatment. In cases where there is no obvious violation of the law, no one shall be arrested or detained except by order of the competent authority. The police must hear the testimony of the accused immediately, and if the police find enough evidence to charge the individual, they must send the individual to an investigator, along with their report, within 24 hours. The Law of Criminal Procedure is keen to maintain the rights of the accused during arrest. Specifically, Article 36, provides:

The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

- 2. safeguard as to arrest and detention. Safeguard: A safeguard is law,rule are measure intended to prevent someone or something from being harmed. Arrest: An arrest is the act of apprehending someone and taking that person into legal custody in response to a criminal charge. Detention: Detention is an act of keeping someone in official custody for a limited period of time pending further investigation .
- 3. Every person who is arrested and detained in custody shall be produced before a magistrate within a period of 24 hours of his arrest.
- 4. Right to fair trial A person is entitled to fair trial and due process.under the law everyone who is charged with a criminal offence is presumed innocent until proved guilty.
- 5. Protection against retrospective punishmaent. Under the constitution no law shall be authorize the punishment of a person for an act or omission that was not punishable by law at the time of act or omission.
- 6. Inviolability of dignity of man. 1) The dignity of man and, subject to law, the privacy of home, shall be inviolable. (2) No person shall be subjected to torture for the purpose of extracting evidence.
- 7. Freedom of assembly freedom is the ability to make decisions for ourselves. We're free to think and speak our minds, to choose our own path in life, and to associate with anyone we want. This allows us to be individual and create our own unique life.
- 8. ASSEMBLY.group of people gathered together in one place for a common purpose. Every citizen shall have the right to assemble peacefully and without arms, subject to any reasonable restrictions imposed by law in the interest of public order.
