The document provides an overview and instructions for installing and customizing the Joomla/Mambo content management system (CMS). It discusses the CMS's features and capabilities, requirements for installation, and the 7 step installation process. Post-installation, it outlines how to manage and customize the site through the administration area by adding content, templates, components and modules. The presentation concludes by offering resources for learning more about Joomla and contact information.
In this beginner presentation on the topic, I would cover a quick introduction of content management system with focus on PHP based content management system “Joomla”. Joomla is considered as dynamic portal engine and content management system, and allows you to develop variety of systems from website, ecommerce store to a complex social network with the help of pre-built features i.e. caching, content management, web services, templates, and more.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

3. Overview
Content Management systems (CMS)
offer the promise of:
publishing tools,
user authentication,
modular structure and
support for plugins, among many to build a
professional websites
4. Overview
Joomla/Mambo are both
a CMS and
one of the highest profile open source LAMP
projects going, boasting a substantial user
community and a number of open source
awards
5. Overview
Is Joomla! a fork of Mambo?
Some call it a fork.
Some call it a spoon.
Some call it an entire table setting.
Whatever your philisophical persuasion, the facts are
that Joomla is a continuation of the work of the
Development Team which unanimously resigned from
the Mambo project in August 2005.
6. Overview
How do the versions compare?
Joomla version 1.0 is derived from Mambo 4.5.2.3 but
includes many additional bug fixes and security
patches.
Joomla version 1.5 is an extensive refactoring of the
API as is Mambo version 4.6 to its codebase.
Both applications continue maintain a similar user
inferface (look and feel)
Joomla 1.5 also includes many new features such as
additional authentication models (LDAP, Gmail, etc),
xml-rpc client-server support.
7. Overview
Will Mambo addons continue to work in
Joomla! ?
Addons (templates, components, modules, mambots
and language packs) designed for Mambo 4.5.2 will
generally run on Joomla 1.0.
Mambo addons designed for version 4.6 will likely not
run on Joomla, nor will extensions designed for Joomla
1.5 run on Mambo.
