Step One – Why I opt HRM Post
baccalaureate Program.
 Human Resource Management turn out to be crucial
element for every organization. It is considered as an
asset for the company. Human resource management
plays an essential role in controlling the existing
workforce.
 If an entity own a better HR personnel, it will achieve
the goals effectively. Human resource management play
a pivotal role in identifying and controlling the
competent professionals for the growth of the
organization. Nowadays, it has become necessary for
every company to hire HR experts so that it can
compete in the market and achieve its goals.
 As the requirement for Human resource is growing
gradually. Thus, I decided to study Human resource
management not only to gain deeper knowledge about the
subject but also to learn various practical methods and
skills that are needed to deal with manpower in any
company.
 As I have completed all my studies in Commerce field so I
have learned various aspects about human resource in
graduation and at post graduate level but there were still so
many unanswered questions and I need to explore the
practical skills that how the organizations should deal with
workforce, what are the problems faced by the employers
and employees, what kind of strategies company needs to
adopt to direct the efforts of manpower to achieve the
objectives.
 Till now I have covered various topics such
organizational behavior, external environment, internal
environment, employment law and regulations in which
introduced to me with the real world examples.
 I am sure that having this program would ensure better
employment opportunities and successful career for
me.
 First of all, the most important thing is to identify or
decide the career or position on which you want to
work. As Human Resource has wide scope, there are
multiple positions in an organization according to the
different levels. Human resource includes various
activities such as:
 Recruitment & Selection
 Performance Management
 Learning and development
 Compensation & Benefits
 Human resource data & analytics
Types of Human resource Positions
 HR Director
 HR Generalist
 HR Coordinator
 HR Manager
 Employment Specialist
Some common HR specialists are
below:
 Human Resource Director
HR director is also known as chief HR officer. He plays an
important role in the organization as he is responsible for
planning, directing, developing and coordinating the
policies and operations of the organization and the
workforce. They have to formulate the budgets and top
level decisions of the company.
JOB TITLE
 Human Resource Generalist
 HR Generalist is one who perform routine basis
functions related to human resource management.
Basically, he identify the requirement for hiring new
workforce and recruiting the staff. He is also liable
to administer the payment of salaries and various
other financial benefits. Not only this, training
programs & various disciplinary matters are also
handled by the HR generalist.
 Human Resource Director
The Human Resource Director earns up to C$
1,00,000 per year.
 Human resource Generalist
The average salary for a human resource generalist
is C$ 55,000 per annum.
SALARY RANGE
 Human resource director
 He/ she requires to specialized in human resource
management.
 He/ must possess excellent communication skills.
 He/she should have financial management skills.
 Interpersonal skills, decision making skills, problem
solving skills are also required.
 He/she should have more than 5 years of working
experience for more responsible position in an esteemed
organization.
 HR Director: HR Generalist:
Possible employers
 Human resource Director
A HR director is considered as the member of top
level management. But , the HR director still have the
chance to grow or to get promotion for the role of HR
vice president or chief HR officer. For higher rank a
person at least have 3-5 years of experience as HR
director.
On the other hand, HR generalist also have wider
scope to gain the exposure as he is responsible for
performing a bit of every human resource function.
As a consequence, he or she can exploit more
alternative career paths in future.
Possibility of advancement
 There is 7% growth rate in most of the professions,
which is similar for almost every top level positions.
Hence, the job outlook for human resource
specialist is great. The feasibility to obtain Human
resource job is largely rely on the educational
qualification & skills a person possess.
Employee outlook
Advantages and disadvantages
 There are chances of better growth.
 They earn fair amount of remuneration.
 The enjoy the power by making others work to achieve the
goals.
 They got opportunity to enhance their management and
problem solving skills.
 By working as an human resource specialist the one can
strengthen its thinking ability.
 As all the top level decisions are made by the directors
and generalists, so company pays special importance to
them.
Advantages of both Careers
 The Human resource director and generalists have to
face higher competition within the organization with
the co-workers.
 They are less appreciated by the company as
compared to the responsibilities performed by them.
 Employers expect high degree of experience for hiring
HR directors and generalists.
 They have to face some restrictions while performing
their job in the company.
Disadvantages
 In the nutshell, both the careers whether it is HR
director or HR Generalist have their own
requirements and benefits. These two HR options
are bit similar to each other. Nowadays, demand
for human resource specialist is increasing day by
day, because it plays a great role in the success of
any company. The company can achieve its goals
only when it has expert Human resource
personnel.

  • 2. Step One – Why I opt HRM Post baccalaureate Program.  Human Resource Management turn out to be crucial element for every organization. It is considered as an asset for the company. Human resource management plays an essential role in controlling the existing workforce.  If an entity own a better HR personnel, it will achieve the goals effectively. Human resource management play a pivotal role in identifying and controlling the competent professionals for the growth of the organization. Nowadays, it has become necessary for every company to hire HR experts so that it can compete in the market and achieve its goals.
  • 3.  As the requirement for Human resource is growing gradually. Thus, I decided to study Human resource management not only to gain deeper knowledge about the subject but also to learn various practical methods and skills that are needed to deal with manpower in any company.  As I have completed all my studies in Commerce field so I have learned various aspects about human resource in graduation and at post graduate level but there were still so many unanswered questions and I need to explore the practical skills that how the organizations should deal with workforce, what are the problems faced by the employers and employees, what kind of strategies company needs to adopt to direct the efforts of manpower to achieve the objectives.

  • 9.  Human Resource Director HR director is also known as chief HR officer. He plays an important role in the organization as he is responsible for planning, directing, developing and coordinating the policies and operations of the organization and the workforce. They have to formulate the budgets and top level decisions of the company. JOB TITLE
  • 10.  Human Resource Generalist  HR Generalist is one who perform routine basis functions related to human resource management. Basically, he identify the requirement for hiring new workforce and recruiting the staff. He is also liable to administer the payment of salaries and various other financial benefits. Not only this, training programs & various disciplinary matters are also handled by the HR generalist.

For higher rank a person at least have 3-5 years of experience as HR director. On the other hand, HR generalist also have wider scope to gain the exposure as he is responsible for performing a bit of every human resource function. Nowadays, demand for human resource specialist is increasing day by day, because it plays a great role in the success of any company.
