2. What is Jenolite?
•Jenolite is an orthophosphoric acid solution available as either a jelly or a liquid
in a range of sizes, dependant on the size and nature of application needed.
•For severe cases of rusting, Jenolite offers a remedy that removes rust by
converting it to a stable hydrophobic complex. This seals the surface leaving a
protective coating which prevents it from reoccurring.
•Jenolite removes rust from just about anything and is quick and easy to use.
3. •Jenolite is quick and easy to use, even for larger applications, and this is one of
the reasons why the product is so popular.
•Specific instructions for use will vary whether you are applying the jelly, liquid or
converter.
•But generally however usage is the same as what is outlined in this slideshow.
4. •Firstly you will want to ensure that all traces of dust and grease have been
removed with a suitable degreaser.
• You should be using a wire brush to remove any loose or heavy rust.
•Dust away any fine rust deposits after abrasion.
• Apply whichever Jenolite product you are using.
Usage Instructions
5. • Depending on how bad the rust problem is you may have to apply extra
coatings of Jenolite.
•If rust removal is incomplete, reapply the liquid after 10 minutes and jelly after
20 minutes.
•When all the rust has been removed a grey coloured surface is formed.
6. •Wipe the surface dry with a clean cloth while the product is still wet on the
surface.
•Whatever you do make sure you don’t allow the product to dry on the surface
without wiping.
•Following treatment the surface should be painted or protected with oil within
one hour.
